I have to admit, I like Hey Now more than this version. Yes now it's a little clearer, the pain, but the others songs atmosphere is just better from the start until the end. Even though this version is great as well.

I love both versions equally, It is one of those songs, to me, that is better with my mood. If I'm in more of a happy, I guess, kind of mood "Hey Now" sounds better, but if I'm in a mood where I need to here a song like this, this is better. That's just my opinion on the songs, if you agree with me, cool, yet if you don't agree that's fine too, more power to ya, just how I feel about it.

No matter how they sing it, I love the song no matter what. I do feel that this version of the song is more raw. Which is a good thing to see. It shows that their music comes from somewhere deep and full of meaning.

don't be so quick to lay blame on the label, while the label did want the song to be slicker and more radio geared sonically, they never asked Daniel to change the lyrics, he did that on his own simply because he wasn't happy with them. Mike (who produced Can't Love, Can't Hurt) apparently begged him to use these lyrics but he refused.
