@qyxzz What if he missed? Fundamentals of a player are the get the layups over shots. Even if Kobe can knock them down any time he wanted to, it's easier to get the layup and he recognized it.

Kobe didn't recognize the layup oppurtunity. He just wanted to score, but gave up a wide open J, considering Kobe's shooting, that's point blank range if he's open.

But he used a totally useless fake. He had to fake twice just for Najera to come over. He got past him and would've shot a ridiculous circus shot if it wasn't for the help defender.

Kobe didn't recognize anything, he just forced a help defender and passed it to the open teammate.
