Calzaghe did well to be an undefeated world champion for a decade by "only beating a washed up roy jones". I guess Eubank, Hopkins, Kessler and all of the others just let him win. He defeated over 10 former world champions during his career.

That is mainly due to the lack of exciting talent that is available in boxing at the moment. If Haye can beat Klitschko we might actually have the possibility of some exciting heavyweight title fights in the future. The Klitscko bore fests don't inspire people to watch. If you look at boxing over the last few years there have been ten's of people that have been earning over $1million a fight, even Lesnar doesn't earn more than a couple of million a fight.

De La Hoya, Mayweather, Hatton, Calzaghe, BHop, Jones Jr., Klitschkos, Mosley, Pacquiao, JMM and thats about it buddy. David Haye cant beat Klitschko (neither one) and thats besides the point because hes not going to fight them! Wlady is fighting Eddie Chambers! There is no talent in boxing because everyone is fighting MMA! And like I said yeah the top earners in boxing make more than the top earners in the UFC BUT, the average MMA makes WAY more than the average boxer.

Boxing isn't dead, YET. But, the reason boxing is going to go out of business doesn't have anything to do with MMA, it has everything to do with boxing not being able to get the best fighters in the same ring together. However, boxing is heading in the right direction with the Super Six World Classic.

He beat Bernard Hopkins, too. I don't think he would have beat Roy or Bernard if they were a couple of years younger but, Joey wasn't exactly "young" himself and "would ofs and could ofs" dont count in boxing.
