He is coming back this year, boogaard under the new system has been playing more each game than before, and getting some chances (remember lemaire was defensive so boogaard didnt play much)
And about koivu, that is only an example they should give suspensions based on the extent of what happened, and even though he threw an elbow there were probably like 100 elbows that year with no suspensions on them, only a penelty. The reality is that ohlund 2 hand slashed him in the leg pretty hard.
Hate pull the jersey tactics but I guess it's a part of the hockey fights. Kovalchuk looked dangerous even blindfolded though.

Kovalchuk continues to impress me, personally. I know how important he is to Atlanta but i hope they deal him to a cup contender. I want to see what he can do with a lot of skill around him and to have a shot at the cup, he deserves it.

That wasn't a cheap shot man. That was Cooke doing his job, and agitatiing. With 13:00 mins left int he game, and Atlanta only needing 3 goals, Kovie is now out for the game... Comeback wont happen anymore. Cooke will never skate away when another player drops the gloves, and he doesnt go after knees, and very rarely headshots. Thats an agitator. Cheap shots are like Moores hit on Nazzy, McSorley on Brash, Simons hit on whoever I forgot, a slight bump on the boards is a pentaly Not cheap

The camera men we're oblivious to the fight until half way through. No one thought Kovi would fight. Matt Cooke succeeded in taking a star out of the game without cheap shotting them and turtling when an enforcer steps in.
Cooke is a pest, and he usually won't back it up by dropping the gloves unless it' s going to benefit him somehow.
I know. I watched Cooke play for years as a Canuck on my favorite team. I'd like to see these guys square off again without the jersey action.

i know that but i have seen in the past 4 wild games like 15 missed calls or bad non calls most of them against the wild. And costing them 3 of those games. And your thinking its just me blaming the refs... everyone was complaining even the other teams announcers and they showed multiple replays making the crowd boooo (again i say even the away crowds) . Refs are fucking idiots!

Derek boogaard went in for a hit for the wild... the player dove out of the way and the refs gave him a tripping call. and yea i think that alot of cheapshots were the guy receiving the cheapshots fault. he is ment to be a fighter to get his team going, and the last 2 years he has been in a slump of doing that because of a few injuries and other players being afraid of him. and like i said MOST OF the cheapshots. I also want to know how they detirmine how long the players are suspended for, for the cheapshots that are on purpose, like a 2 handed slash that ohlund did on koivu in retaliation that suspendid him for 4 games and injured koivu for 3 months

i dont like him because he is useless, put a up and comer in his spot that can actually play other then him being a bench warmer. and the whole koivu thing was indeed bad, ohlund should have gotten more games but in the same sense what if koivu doesnt get hurt for that long? what if the elbow he threw gave ohlund a concussion? in the end its over and done with.

He is coming back this year, boogaard under the new system has been playing more each game than before, and getting some chances (remember lemaire was defensive so boogaard didnt play much)
And about koivu, that is only an example they should give suspensions based on the extent of what happened, and even though he threw an elbow there were probably like 100 elbows that year with no suspensions on them, only a penelty. The reality is that ohlund 2 hand slashed him in the leg pretty hard.
