Al Sharpton is a disgrace to his Republican Fathers who abolished slavery, afforded blacks every Constitutional amendment in existence, fought against the purely Democrat imposed segregation off the South, were lynched together (both blacks and whites), who created the NAACP, and who are still fighting to to afford blacks education, break the death-grip of the Democrats' Poverty Industry chains (welfare) off their ankles, and stop the black genocide / infanticide.

Let's stop dividing by race. God created man and woman one time in the beginning and we took it from there by being fruitful and spreading our seed.  He did not divide us out by race, mankind has done that through census reports due to fear, distrust and stupidity. They looked and saw visual differences between people in certain geographic areas and made columns called black, white, asian, hispanic. We are the same at the core. We need God, love and each other to make it.

I think it would be very appropriate to address the question of how 'black America' is going to 'close the gap' instead of what all people or government must do to narrow the divide. Government softening of the harsh realities of hard work and persistence as the primary route to success in America actually delays the progress of a people.

Mr. Sharpton has a very good point to be made (ture point)and this is going to take time but and working together is the only way to make this a part of the pass. We have to also understand this deviations in everyone, not just Afor-Americans. Thank you for sharing this video.

While some see Pastor Sharpton as a mindless blowhard, when allowed to speak for more than 2 seconds in a sound bite, his sense of justice & common sense shine through, especially since he's one of the few who'll lambast, teach & talk about both sides of the racial divide, irritating both sides who want to disavow responsibility for injustice, which is ALWAYS a good thing.:)
