Dragon Dictate for Mac: An Exercise in Futility

Great video, I share your frustrations. I have just purchased Dragon Dictate for my Mac after we switched from the PC. I am used to using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for the PC. This is by far a more robust program than Dragon Dictate. On the PC version you have full control of the dictation functions as well as keyboard and mouse editing. On the plus side the actual voice recognition appears to be faster and more accurate with DragonDictate. The editing is so frustrating. 5/10 rating

I have exactly these problems and it makes absolutely no difference whether you use "correct that" or "select." This is the worst waste of money imaginable.

You are saying the wrong Commands... Instead of saying "Correct that" say "Select"

So true! I share your frustration, still it saves me so much time writing one I get going. And as human as we are we adjust to it, just hoping the next update has it fixed.

Just feels good to know someone else goes through the same thing every day when using the program....

fyi I have my headset and mic on, Dictate is on the desktop and still typed this note by hand...calculated it would be faster than starting Dictate...oops

I have seen your video for dragon dictate and I can explain some of your problems. You need to read the book, that for some reason is not included with the software. Most of your questions will make sense. I know when u use your keyboard and voice, u screw up the AI on it. U should say select dragon and then hit space bar.
