@t1268 yeah the ones in blue are full time and they get paid - they patrol 365 days a year and they also make the final descisions e.g the shark alarm
the yellow and red are the surf club or clubbies as their known their volunteers and only patrol on busy weekends and bank holidays and school holidays etc
Honestly, the people that crowd around are so selfish. When the lifeguards say 'We can't help her with all of you around here, please move', it means to back the fuck off, not stand around.
