The PS3 uses an Intel CPU card and a Nvidia GPU. Just because those companies make parts for PC's doesn't mean the can't make parts for consoles. And because we are talking about games The graphics card does relate to processing power because to make the game look the way it does, it needs a high powered GPU, which both consoles lack in. The Nvidia GTX series are faster than the GPU's in the consoles.
