whoever invented this must have been like "Hey I got a great idea, why don't we get this huge stick Okay, and then we run at a fence all right, you jam the stick in the ground and have the stick fling up really fast......while you're holding on to it" and the other guy is like "wait wait wait, you hold on to it?" "great idea huh?" "you're an idiot" "just wait man, it'll be like an olympic sport in like 30 years or something"......look at it now.......trippy
great technique, your coach knows what he is doing! by the way it is great that you let your left bend, this allows you to move forward more and than swing very well. I hope you will never learn to keep your left straight :) All the best to you!
Haha a ten foot pole bend? they bend like crazy, if your a girl try the pacer mystic 10" pole, if your a dude haha do the same and gain some weight. over all if you can't do it you just suck
im a vaulter in my 2nd year and i still cant bend the pole i think its because i dont keep my bottom arm straight. i can still clear 11' tho any suggestions any1?
Well i have the same problem of not keeping my bottom arm straight. but i still bend a fairly large amount. though you want to keep your bottom arm straight, also work on a very aggressive run so even if your bottom arm bends in, it'll still bend. just load the pole with as much energy as you can and it should start bending. also, the pole will bend when it's ready.
when u see the girls start pole vaulting it really goes to show u how much physically superior males are to females. its almost pathetic i could hop over that hieght with one leg and they are pole vaulting it?! haha it just looks like a joke cuz its like 2 feet tall and they r flying over it. they need to challege themselves and see thier potential. they can def get higher.
@hXeDrummerBoy im sorry but locking out your bottom arm is terrible advice. Locking out your bottom arm slows the swing and makes it impossible to get all the energy out the pole. Its good to have a tall plant with the bottom arm out but at any stage after that all pressure should be on the top hand
just a tip: you should invest in some bars. the girl(s) has a lot of space to keep swinging up, and i dont know if that's just how you were taught, but all of you are double legging your jumps. the bars will help with strength, and teach everyone to swing their left legs and get the good invert without kicking.
but overall, awesome season, great jumps, and cute video.
You confused me for a second I thought you ment crossbars not high bars. Good idea though, my brothers are their now workin on some stuff using weight racks (Bubkas, shoulder pulls ect.)
lol chill...im never saying that i could so dont put words in my mouth for one...and you should try NOT to look at the bar its impossible to not look at it after youve turned so shut up you ignorant asshole.
yeah the jumps of almost all of the same guy...he went 16'3 in high school and had the top jump in the MAC in indoor this year with 17'3/4 so he doesnt jump like that...austin his jumps are under mike uhle
tip: drive forward all of those vaults your back goes straight back this will allow you to have more seperation from the pole and make your vault longer giving you more time to get in a tucked position...
how do you type in the middel of the videolike that, like you say things like trust ? when the guy gets kicked trying to go beetween those 2 guys, and when you typed in skill, trust, now for the real sport and things like that
just using Sony Vegas and inserting a text media...and if you cant use that just go into paint type the words and save the picture and use that in the windows video editor.
damn you all have great form

I agree it's always easier to teach a some one who let's their arm come in to push up than it is to teach someone who blocks to open their chest.

It's a duel meet so it doesn't really matter and under that glove are about 12 stiches. Plus grip on the bottem hand doesn't affect anything.
