  • This bike is a lot of fun to ride and looks great but be prepared to spend a lot of money on new batteries ($600+) after minimal use. It has the potential to be great but I cannot recommend buying one until they address some of the engineering issues

  • гуфомобиль

  • its a 5, i have one, its great got it in jersey at beacon bikes

  • finally a electric bike that isnt UGLY

  • anyone know how to open the battery? I removed all the screw but it wont open. Pretty sure there is clip inside but dont know exact location. Any help will be good.

  • looks cool but the wheels are really small

  • what is the top speed of one of these as standard

  • seems pretty quiet, eh?

  • wow i want that. nice bike.

  • Nice video, but its too long. I had to take at least 3 breaks in order to finish it, Please next time try to make shorter videos so that we can watch everything while clicking the next video. Thanks

  • Nooks good. I ride ebike all the time and it's fun but what pisses me off is it has to be charged every 20km, battery replace about 1x year. pretty expensive fun for about 30km/h

  • and there's goes half the energy in the battery pack...

  • The government is NOT the solution. Government subsidies will actually drive up the prices and your taxes. That is basic economics. Petrol powered vehicles are cheap because they have been developed over a long period of time. Demand for cheap, reliable, high powered batteries for consumer electronics (think iphone) will drive down the cost of battery technology and then electric cars/bikes will become much cheaper and more practical.

Just let capitalism do its thing.

  • Petrol vehicles are dominant because all the infrastructure rotates around them, not because they're cheap.

  • To be more precise, they're cheap b/c oil is abundant and cheap. We have electricity infrastructure, it's the batteries that have low energy density and are super expensive.

  • If our roads were rigged for induction batteries wouldn't be half as important. Mind you that's new technology, but it's being considered a solution along with new battery technology. Imagine your vehicle trickle charging while you drive. Vunderbar!

  • That is a very impractical solution. There are about 6 million miles of paved road in the US. Say it's $1000 a mile to install in the charging infrastructure (extremely conservative!) and you want to pave half the US ... that's 300 Billion dollars! In reality it could be upwards of a trillion! Next, with inductive charger the magnetic field between the charger and contact on the car receiving the charge must be VERY close. Now take into account bumps. Presto, your idea is killed.

  • I'm not saying it will happen. However, if I replaced that system with the term "Interstate system", it still sounds absurd and look what we've got. On top of that, I'd mention one of the biggest selling points to building the Interstate system was "Quick and easy" egress from cities in the eventuality of nuclear exchange. Living in a world that can build something like that on such a silly notion I know that the same thing could happen in regards to an induction system...

  • History says the auto companies lobbied for it so consumers would have more reason to buy a car and the military wanted it to strengthen their national defense in terms of organization.

Anyways, please look up the inverse square law. This amounts to the major energy loses as the separation between two conductors increases. You practically need the two inductors on top of each other! How can you implement this on a non-smooth surface with cars changing lanes?

  • Car on top of the road. How much closer does it have to get? :)

  • I wish it wasn't 3000 bucks. I mean for that price I might as well just buy a Yamaha BW50. We need government subsidies on this stuff as an environmental movement.

  • AGREEED!

  • Ah, but don't forget insurance, set-up fees, maintenance costs, etc. I've owned both a $2500 bicycle and a $2500 scoot. In the end I spent a lot more dough on the scoot...

  • Ya, I want other people to pay for my stuff too! Why doesn't the government just pay us all not to work so that we can stop all pollution!!! On second thought why doesn't the government just pay for everything, we could live in a utopia of laziness, like Chicago.

  • nice

  • my dad is thinking of getting this bike. on a scale of 1 to 5, what would you rate this bike?

  • This is an excellent electric bike particularly if you are looking for a comfortable and effortless commuting or just pleasure cruising there it would get 5. If you are looking for a performance commuter, or a high end electric MTB then there are other choices to consider (Ohm, E+, BionX).

-- you may check it on our web site

  • PROS of AtoB. I've tested it twice. It has good torque , its a solid ,well crafted machine, stylish ,good unassisted speed. CONS , it looks like a moped , weighs 75lbs .Its not inconspicuous like most e-bikes ,may draw a thief's attention. I found the chain ring too small to pedal after 10 or 15 mph. and Price.. I gave it a 3 for my uses, I have the Bionx pl350 ,paid $1100 for it before the gas prices pushed it up to $1600 . Bionx is by far the best package for my needs.

  • i'll shoot and edit as many vids as you want in exchange for one A2B bike. i have taken a one min vid of my cat and have to this date 150,000 views and have been paid 700+ usd. so i am not kidding.

  • @coreymon77 ill get you da bike if you can do 5 8min video for me. Message me back if ur interested

  • jvbike ? you do realize that by uploading better video content, you could increase your sale revenue immensely ?

Why posting boring videos, have someone do the talk and do a complete intro of the bike

  • Unfortunately we do not have time and resources to put more informative material at this moment. The intention was to provide at least some indication of power and handling of this new and rather unknown, but very interesting electric bicycle. More specs are on our web site.

  • Last time i came, a very nice sales man helped me out with my questions, how hard is it to shoot a 10min video with him explaining the bike in depth ?

  • A good informative 10 min video would require number of takes plus editing, meaning at least one day of work

  • I agree and would also increase the website and customer traffic :-)

    Something you should consider :)

  • @jvbike11

Do you want to sell this contraption or not, if one day's work is to much I can imagian the build quality.

  • @jvbike11 .......Lamer
