I agree, somewhat. The scene/emo stuff shits me to no end as well, and the song does also invoke the same sort of thoughts.

But with regards to the generalizations, as a young adult myself, I find worthless relationships are far and few. At least amongst my peer group. Not to say they aren't there, for sure. But saying all of them are worthless is an overstatement.
