@kaituba : lol.....i was just asking: since the camera can be f8 or f11, which of these does holga work with. i know you can leave the switch on either settings, otherwise it wouldn't have been defected....
@arjov Well, if you believe the specs, it should be f/8 since the apertures are supposed to be f/8 (cloudy) or f/11 (sunny). It is probably closer to f/13, according to Nicolai Morrisons calculations. go to

i bought a holga cfn jack edition. it actually has this defect. i never shoot w a holga. does it still take great pictures even though it has this defect? i am a diana mini user, but i am really excited to start using my holga
@snakeeat3r27 I have been using Holgas for a long time now, and it is still one of my favorites. The differences between the new model and the older models is very slight. You will be able to get good photos with your Jack Edition camera. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just get out there and shoot!
@48151623cuarentaidos All older versions of Holga 120 had this problem. Check yours out when you get it. If itvturns out to be an older version, don't fret too much, as the camera is still fully functional, and only slightly less capable. I've shot with the older version for years and think it's still a good camera.
oh.. i always thought aperture was the photo thing when your camera shutters are long, like if you put your camera on a tripod facing a highway at night, you would end up with bright lines instead of cars... thats why people are always confused with me on yahoo answers O_o
@sunshineloveshappy To view the aperture as I have shown it on the Holga120, with the Holga 135, open the camera back and point it at a light source. Then flip the aperture switch and see if there is a difference between the 2 settings.
@nadinefilhol123 This applies to all models of Holga, including the 120CFN. If you just bought it, hopefully it is the latest model. Look at the aperture in your camera as I showed it here in the video.
I happened to buy a Holga 120N with the aperture defect too.

@arjov You can leave the aperture switch on either setting, as they are the same.
