Im from Thomasville,Al and its almost as bad but not quite but alot of people from Camden come to Tville work which makes finding jobs even harder for native Tvillians. This is sad.

adults cant get jobs so the kids are in poverty..college got me out but the majority of kids there (just like the rest of the nation) cant afford school and arent mentally prepared due to poor teaching and weak curriculum..they dont want a handout..people want an opportunity to work..nationwide..no different from when people went West to goldmine..only difference now is there isnt an opportunity anywhere..they're sending jobs overseas

Opening restaurants is not very effective way to creates jobs for the better economy.

It's a very risky business and 9 out of 10 business close within 1 yr. It's not only because of high cost to start but attracting and keeping the customers is very difficult. In our area, a few restaurants change their name just about every year. If you have experience running it, you should know this. I'm sensing you don't.

People, this is not over by a long shot. Don't wait for the gov to save you. Instead,start growing your own foods, small farm cop-ops, fresh eggs etc. (Those cheap chain stores are the ilk of modern society! China ownes them, stocks them, profits from them.) The carpenter could be fixing those doors and other odd jobs - bartering his skills for food - all those men would have sheds full of unused screws and tools. There have been quite a controversy in our area about sanitary condition of some restaurants including well know establishments. Rats running on the floor eating the waste, leaving poop behind etc. Of course, the city took action and started to inspect.

How about moving or learning new skills, such as computer skills etc? Yes, it might be difficult, but at least its not sitting on your ass doing nothing. I don't like how people rely on government. Government is corrupt and incompetent. If someone wan'ts something they go out and look for it, or they go to the library or a bookstore and learn new stuff.
