After Black Bishop takes white pawn at E4, why did white Rook take bishop at E4? Isn't the better option Knight moves to H6 check?. Black pawn at G7 takes Knight at H6 and then continue as the game actually does by Rook taking bishop at E4.
The difference being the exchanges are exactly the same but the move I propose makes black's 2 pawns on the king side double up and white has 3 pawns to face them.
ty as well for the analysis. I have watched a couple of them after the movie "Fisher against the world". The only thing I would suggest is finding a way to eliminate the black blocks when moving that are somewhat distracting.
In blitz game 173 you have mentioned something about becoming a member. To support you ofcourse i would like to do that. unfortunatly i don't know how. i did try but evrytime it leads to Ytube. HELP please.
dang these players see everything...I would have never thought about that giant exchange on f7 leading to a forked bishop. I wonder during which move Fischer saw that, before setting up attacking pieces on f7 or after Spassky defended it in such a manner.
I know that Spassky is a Grandmaster and all, but I feel I must say that at 3:57 his move Rook to D7 was a TERRIBLE move. Did he not foresee that he would lose his rook??
Incredible analysis of strategy as always. I just finished rading Bevin Alexander's "How Great Generals Win." This game illustrates some of its major themes. Fischer deceiving Spasky into believing the main attack would come on the Q side. Making the passive Qc1 move to make Spasky think Fischer was not planning a major offensive. This is Hannibal, Napoleon, Rommel. Excellent work
are you serious? when he said there was a tactic, i paused the video and saw that in less than a minute. I am not a strong player at all. Many moves these players make are amazing, but that wasn't too hard to see.
@ihateuutube isnt it a little easy to "see the tactic" after KC has highlighted the square the exchange is on pointed an arrow and showed how each piece involved was building pressure for that exchange?? doesnt take a strong player to see that, or did you think you deserved a cookie?
I was referring to the brilliancy of fischer spotting the weakness and developing a plan and seeing that far ahead, with out KC's post match analysis to assist,
yo KC!! can u put all 11 tourney games in a playlist like u did the 08 World Championship...it would really make it convenient this dominance deserves it!
Fascinating...more please! (Although I thought that u could have gone through and spoken a little slower in some parts for those who are chess novices or speak English as a secondary language.)
since fianchetto is an italian word it's pronounced fiancketto because of the h after the c

I'm no Grandmaster myself, but a much better move wouyld have been c4. Tell me I'm wrong.
VitalSigns1 1 year ago
you are wrong, bishop would take the pawn, you take bishop with pawn, rook takes bishop winning the exchange and forcing f6 met by e5

@rotagbhd shit i guess you're right i didn't see that

I think fischer for saw the Rook King split before the combination on F7 with the large exchange.
Amazing to be able to see that far ahead and find the weakness

No, it's not like that, it's Fischer always winning. :p

It's because Mother Russia is inferior. Replace youtube with James Bond and you might have a point.

why didnt black grab the E pawn in the beginning?
christian16273847 3 years ago
because white can get the pawn back with rook e1 and knight take on e5 making material even and i personally think after that white has an advantage.
