  • Im on a journey to lose 140 pounds,so anyone in the same boat or wants to give me tips or help me out or do it with me inbox me and subscribe :) P.S only serious people im not jokin bout losing this weight !

  • @JassieUBumm Google Paleo Diet

  • you should try liquid chlorophyll in your water as a boost and take spirulina & chlorella tablets like you would normally take vitamins. I have and I can feel a world of difference. It helps girl...do your research on it it is super healthy for you. what I do is I put some of the chlorophyll in a gallon of water that way I dont have to mix everytime I go to drink I can just pour & consume. & the organic tablets I just take daily.

  • And I agree with the others, depriving yourself of any particular food group is not sustainable for life and once you start eating carbs again, you'll gain the weight back. Trust this word from someone who used to weigh 220 pounds (I'm female) and tried every diet in the world until I finally decided to simply eat healthy, with a healthy balance of different types of foods (yes, including carbs) and watch my calorie intake. I lost 80 pounds and have managed to keep it off for 6 years now.

  • @Linda7647 No, you won't lol. You won't gain weight going back to any food group unless your caloric intake increases over your basal metabolic rate. Stop getting your diet advice from fashion magazines.

You do realize that if there is any food group to cut out, it's grains, right? They're not essential for human life, they cause many diseases and they make you fat.

  • @LuniaVideo Fashion magazines? I'm sorry, hon, but that's a generalization on your part because I don't even READ magazines. And I totally understand the calories in vs calories out thing. You're preaching to the choir on that note.

  • @Linda7647 I'm not sure what the purpose of your reply was, as it didn't address anything I said.

Grains are unhealthy. Doesn't matter what kind of grain, whole grain wheat, corn, rye, spelt, etc. All are unhealthy. Brown rice is "ok." Carbs are not necessary and too many of them (which is what the majority of Western societies eat) not only make you fat, but lead to increased rates of cancer, heart disease and a plethora of inflammatory diseases.

But you already knew that, right?

  • @LuniaVideo You are so misinformed. Grains are not unhealthy. If what you're doing is working for you, that's fabulous. But don't preach misguided information to the rest of the world. What you think is unhealthy may NOT be unhealthy to someone else. For that matter, there are a lot of people out there who believe meat to be unhealthy. I respect your opinion but that's all it is, YOUR opinion and nothing more.

  • @Linda7647 Wheat in it's modern form is the most unhealthiest food on the planet........it's been a genetically engineered crop since @1960.......along with corn and soy.

  • @dumptech Amen to that. Wheat is the unhealthiest thing humans have added to their diet in the last 10K years.

  • @Linda7647 Grains aren't healthy and if you think they are you clearly haven't done ANY research.

  • @LuniaVideo You basically talk utter bullshit. Every cell in your body runs most efficiently on glucose, gained from carbs.

  • @LuckynumberSlevin11 Wrong. Every cell has the ABILITY to run on glucose, to a certain point. Your body (especially your brain) prefers ketones. Ketones from fat burning obviously. How do you burn fat? By getting rid of carbs via ketosis. You produce 6 extra ATP from ketosis than you do from burning carbs, therefore it's obvious burning fat is better than burning carbs.

You know nothing about nutrition, please stop giving out "advice" before you get charged with negligent manslaughter.

  • When you reduce carbs you reduce calories overall. That's what leads to weight loss. And when you're heavy to begin with, regardless of what you eat, you'll drop initial weight very quickly. On low carb diets, most of the weight you lose will be water. Carbs don't make you fat, excess calories make you fat.

  • @Linda7647 Ketone (fats) breakdown expends more calories than glycogen (carbohydrate) breakdown, so you burn slightly more calories than normally.

Of course carbs make you fat. You can't make a triglyceride without a carbohydrate backbone and ANY excess carbs turn into fat. But fat doesn't turn into carbs strangely enough. Not to be rude, but if you don't have any knowledge about the scientific aspect of low-carb eating it's probably best not to comment.

  • your just so cute any way you are :)

  • @kevinsorrell ah thank u :)

  • @sabrinamusiq if you ever want to come to Australia you can stay here with me :)

  • @kevinsorrell thank you ;)

  • The only beef I have is that I didnt know to do low carb years ago. Ive been on the atkins for 88 days and have lost 72 pounds!! Im rearly hungry and I feel great. My mother & I had tried to lose wieght all our lives I had given up and had reached 555 pounds but im 6'4 so it didnt look so bad. I told her if she made it to 40 pounds that I would have to try it she has lost 63 pounds in 6 months ive lost 72 and now my sister has lost 15 in a couple weeks. We even had a low carb easter. Keep it up!

  • @PHLOP420 however do you realise that if you come of atkins you will put the weight back on and even more in a matter of weeks, you should not spend that long on the atkins diet, its bad for you in the long run

  • @boxer19851 The same is true for any diet that exists. If you come off, you put on weight. The difference with low carb is that you are far more likely to remain on the eating plan (which, as all low-carbers know, is a lifestyle, not a diet) because of the satiety value it affords people. I'm on low carb (not as low as Atkins induction) and have never before felt the satiety I feel on LC, and I've done lots of diets. Low-carb is NOT unhealthy. Quite the opposite.

  • @DefenderOfTheLarder it isn't the same for any diet that exists, if you are on a healthy eating plan without depriving yourself in certain areas (ie) carbs, you wont pile the weight back on. for starters anyone who takes part in physical exercise or has a physical job, low carb is NOT a healthy diet to be on, also the brain requires carbohydrate to function, so all in all low carb is fine for a short period but not as a complete lifestyle.

  • @boxer19851 I think it is the same. Whether you are on a diet which deprives you of certain foods (and, FYI, I still get to eat plenty of carbs...just not the refined ones, so I am, in fact, not deprived of carbs) or excess or whatever, there is one common factor: self control. All healthy eating plans, however one might define that, calls for some measure of self control. ALL healthy eating plans, when you fall off the wagon, have potential to fail.

  • @boxer19851 Low carb is not no carb (a common misunderstanding by those who think they know about the low carb lifestyle). Are you serious about the brain function statement? I think the Eskimo population would be amused by that little tidbit, or, at least, nobody told their working, functioning, healthy brains that they weren't supposed to work on low carb (Vilhjalmur Stefansson, who lived with the Eskimo population for eleven years from 1906, certainly witnessed that to be not true).

  • @DefenderOfTheLarder The Eskimo population were genetically adapted to that way of life.

  • @LuckynumberSlevin11 You can't evolve that fast. The reason Eskimos eat the way they do (96% animal food) and do great is because they eat EVERY part of the animal including the liver (Vitamin C, which is mostly in plants+Vit A), kidney, eyes, tongue and brain. Not just the muscle meat.

This applies to the Alaskan Nunamiut's also, whose diet was literally 99% animal products, even more than the Inuits.

  • I think you are really pretty. Good luck on your journey.

  • @n8tedog2002 Thank you! :)

  • I dont see why people have such a big bitch flip over carb Diets (Such as Atkins ) It does work for just about anyone. And as long as you eat probably, eat carbs such as meat, but not like.. a whole fucking pack of bacon. D: .. Veggies and fruits, Cheese and so on. Ur good. Espically if you take really good vitamins ! :D And exercise. U dont need to even go hardcore. Like.. go for a nice long walk with your Mp3 or Ipod. IT WORKS. U wont loose anything but WEIGHT.

  • @MickeyFreakinMouse01 I agree your right :)

  • @MickeyFreakinMouse01 meat doesn't contain carbs

  • @MickeyFreakinMouse01 You are clearly not to be taken seriously and of a high IQ when you say ''eat carbs such as meat''. Embarrassing.

  • I lost 50lb in 4 months

  • Fucking good job girl! Give yourself a pat on the back. Seriously, dieting is a bitch.

  • @sabrinamusinq im currently doing low carb diet almost 2 weeks, what do i eat when i have a sweet tooth or its that time of the month? ... and congratulation on ur weight loss !!!! keep up the good work!

Anyway add me if you want and I will subscribe so I can keep up with your videos:) Rebecca Jen

  • @ichaichaparadice Ya thats what some of us are doing. It's not about getting over ourselves, it's about getting healthy. Keep in mind not everyone is like you, for most they are all different and approach health & diet and excercise differently. It's a mental thing for most as well. I like to call my progress with my success of weight loss a "marathon". I just stay consistant. Do you?

Stay positive with your posts next time.

  • I LOVE the low carb diet. I kinda do it "my" way and eat fruit (half) etc. But it is the easiest diet and you can eat out. I feel SOOO much better on this diet. And to all the people that think all you eat is meat, that is not all true.

  • @itlk2angels I agree I do the same.

  • @itlk2angels are you even lean tho? LOL

  • low carb is badddd

  • You totally don't know what you're talking about, FromDreamz2Reality.

Check out all the healthy people who have lost weight and kept it off at the low carb forums

  • @AppleSouffle Welll, I've lost 100 lbs and have kept it off for oer a year. U wanna tell me i'm wrong again?

  • can u give me sum low carb salad dressings that are ok for the atkins

  • Hi Kim,

Here are some dressings you can get, Hidden Valley Ranch, Blue Cheese or keep it simple and use red wine vingar w/ extra virgin olive oil a pinch of salt & pepper and a squeeze of lemon. Remember when you buy the ranch or blue cheese dressing check the nutrition facts. Make sure the carb rate is below 5 carbs. They always are and make sure to add a little protein to your salad. Happy eating! :)

  • Congratulations, keep it going... The sound is not really the best... I'd like to start a low carb diet (I got cca 15pounds to lose), do you eat fruit and what amount daily? Thanx! :)

  • Great ideas. I call it the Chimpanzee diet... in other words eating like our great ape cousins. Nuts, berries, fruit, vegetables, a little meat (no knocking monkeys out of trees though!). I see a lot of people switching to too much fat. You're right that it's better to stay low on fats too if you can. I recommend carbonated water (seltzer, Perrier, San Pellegrino) with 1/3 lime. very yummy and refreshing.

  • @Parsa9

Incorrect on the fat intake. You definately DO NOT want to go LOW FAT on a low carb eating schedule. The fats taken in by the body are used differently when there are little to no carbohydrates introduced.

When there are little to no carbs, your body does not release insulin in huge amounts which is the main reason for fat gain. Insulin TRANSPORTS fat into the fat cells.

  • Right on, markp64!

It's refreshing to read an intelligent, well informed post about nutrition.

  • @markp64 So misguided as to what makes you fat, which is not insulin.

  • Comment removed

  • Very encouraging! I am also doing low carb. What kind of exercise do you recommend and how often?

  • I recommend the Susan Powters DVD program, this is what keeps me going! :)

I'm in my low carb diet too. at first, it worked because I loose about 38 lbs. but nowadays, I've stop gaining or loosing weight even though I'm still doing that diet and exercise. Right now I'm around 150 lbs btw. I want to loose another 20 lbs.

(if you know or anyone knows) how can I loose more weight because I've since stopped loosing or gaining weight about 5 months ago. do I need to take extreme measures or what? Thanxs.

  • Hey thx 4 the comment! Don't worry about the stall in your weight lose that your having. These things happen from time to time as you gradually lose weight. I'm at a stall right now. It may be due to the weather since it's winter here where I'm at. Just stay on the path and keep eating healthy and working out. You will break your plateau. Try going back to phase 1 again on Atkins and that will help you move the additional weight. Peace.

  • You are a very pretty girl.. Congrats on losing the weight. I have also lost 30 lbs on ths diet. KEEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

  • Thanks for checkin' out my video. To answer your question on how much exercise I'm doing. Well, I'm walking 4 to 5 times a week for 30 minutes. I make sure to take relaxing walks. I swim 2 to 3 times a week. I do weight and strength training 2 to 3 times a week. Every thing in moderation, since I don't like excercising. I also throw into my daily regimin "meditation". I'll post another video about that. Remember, what you eat makes the most difference, trust me.
