As a high school student here in Arizona, this Proposition directly affect me. If this bill does not pass, our photography teacher, 3 art teachers, woodshop teacher, 3 world geography teachers, P.E. teachers, choir teacher, drama teacher, drama tech teacher, sculpture teacher, and a few others will get let go. And you know what that means? That our entire fine arts program will disappear. None of the programs listed above will be there anymore. And don't forget this bill affects Fire&Police too
Brewer should never have put education at risk. Never cut teachers. She purposely put ED on the chopping block to scare people into voting for it. You are being used to pass a tax increase. We need honest politicians who do not use scare tactics, but tell the truth. 60-70 in class is not the truth, People dieing is not the truth. She required cuts to education if the tax does not pass, she put your programs at risk to scare you. She could have protected ED, she wont.
@kellibunch363 As a Tucson Flowing Wells High School Alumni Student of 2007, I do offer my apologies to this area of worry that Janet Brewer bestowed your mind. I however cannot find it in my heart to grant the students such as yourself to pass Prop 100 because I have found in my research of what Arizona is spending its money on through Brewers directives is absoulty criminal. I'd bet you would like to know ADOT and RTA are spending 114.5 million dollars on the I-10 project for 2040.
@kellibunch363 or maybe the fact tucson has been recieving 500 million dollars for a project called, Rio Nuevo that in the time it has been around has only managed to procure a Grocery Store and a restore project to Fox Theatres in the downtown area. This project was supposed to by now procure a new Convention Center, Hotel, Resteraunts etc..and all we got since 98 was a theatre and grocery store..
@AspenAxL maybe you'd like to ask Brewer about the fact she has just overstepped her place of authority to sue the white house for a health care bill she has tried to abolish here in arizona? She claims we dont have money for School but she has enough money to hire a lawyer to sue the white house for the healthcare reform? Maybe someone can answer why tucson has just hired a lawyer to sue ourselves? Truth is we have money. She just doesnt want to spend anything on you.
