Magic? It's still there, just under-appreciated a lot.
Not many people know, but this game was changed drastically Two times. The original JP version had some interesting stages effects and dazzling themes.
The EU/UK version was a lot more toned down on the later stage visuals, but retained the female-voiced narrator.
The US version used conveniently, but newly composed music for it's release. As far as I recall, the US music does not even have arbitrary names nor a soundtrack (I can wish...)
more levels and stages (as well as for the Vs. Mode), more music (of course we keep the music from the old game as well) an Endless/Survival Mode, more colors for the flares ( if three was hard, imagine chaining a total 7 different colors XD), new flare explosions,

u kno what they really should do?
make a remake of this game for the PSP
