  • I can't comment on the frame skipping, I don't notice it. I have both the Nikon D90 and Canon 5D Mk II. Both take very nice video, but, for ease of video and with much less bulk I can take excellent video with a 4-year old Canon handi-cam and a newer Canon XS200 IS point-and-shoot. This later one has HD video capabilities and I made excellent video at a recent concert with top notch results. From a $300 camera, I find it great for video and also very handy for high quality snapshots.

  • Question to author. I am about to buy it, but I saw some video on nikon site and look like videos was lagging eveyr 4-6 secondes - look like skipping a frame. Is this a true? Every single video on nikon has it. Please answer me, I am deciding here to sell my bueatiful hd 1080i camcoder for this and my d40. I have 4 nikor lenses already and one prime as 50 mm f1.8, but I hope its not lagging, please tell me its not.

    Tell me the truth.

  • Sorry Nikkon D90 DSLR Vids are not WMV they are JPEG then converted to Flash.

  • The video is not clear becauseNikkon D90 DSLR Vids are WMV it's JPEG. Nikkon has failed for this DSLR, my 4 year old Cannon powershot video is more clearer on Youtube you should go and have a look at my plane vids because its WMV.

  • Guy you dont know what are you talking about. WMV can be at 18 mpb/s and clear as tear. I am developing Moroz Video Converter - my ideas into the software, and you have no clue. Be quiet.
