And as for the "women aren't as funny as men" argument, I will agree that most women aren't as suited to stand-up comedy but that's not to say they're not funny, as they wouldn't bother to get on stage at all if that were the case. I think that more men have the charisma to pull off stage presence while women tend to be better in easy-going social situations.
