BTW, Wendy, when you come to Montreal for Christmas, we can see them perform on the Friday night. This gives you a good idea of the place and ambiance will be like!
These guys opened a show I played last summer. I totally dug their authentic and stripped down thing, and told 'em so after their set: Not much response from any of them. Tried talking to each of the fellas before and after our set: Nothing. Do these guys not speak english?!? Antisocial? Hate american blues musicians? Tried talking gear, music, the weather; forgetaboutit. Great blues act, but left me with the impression that they are a buncha fucking assholes! Too bad...
That sounds so out of whack - obviously I have no clue what the backstory was, but from what I know, they are v. social, appreciate their fans, and love blues musicians (see their MySpace pages. Anywho, sorry to hear you had a negative experience, but really, they do speak English, and are great guys.
Musicofanatic, your observation is probably right on. These guys are devoid of ideas. I'm not saying they're without talent, but they've devoted themselves to note-for-note imitations of the work of far better musicians than they are.The difference between Bharath and musicians like Little Walter and Paul Delay is that the latter were inspired by others, undoubtedly, but then took the art to a new height. Bharath and Co only manage to copy.
@Vodichka9 You have a point, what do you want a medal? I think this band is great, I’m not concerned about the fact that they aren’t playing jazz-rock; I for one am glad that they’re keeping this music alive.
I seen these guys last night in Hamilton, first time & they were excellent,I hope next time there in steel city I hear about it ! & when I in Montreal, I will for sure go see them !!! Keep on Rock in
fresh & up to date. great Jimmy Rogers tune, my favorite covers are Hollywood Fats version
and a live bootleg version I head by lil Ronnie & the grand dukes, awesome east coast band, old cats like Ronnie featuring a young guitar viruoso from DC.

I"ve seen them several times at the Griffintown Cafe. Good fun all around. I'm glad to be in their backyard.

Does anyone really give a shit...?
If it sounds good, why not keep doing it?
People don't always have to innovate.
