I've driven a '08 Navara as well as a '08 L200, and in my opinion, I do prefer the L200. The comfort in the Navara is slightly better, but there's something special about the L200. Can't say what though...

i guess 5 gear got it all wrong, first who buy DC for speed and car like handling? you want that kind of thing, buy sedan. second, you need high seating and less steering feel, because u need to know where your going in the bush and protect your hand from sudden jolt when the wheel hit a rock. the last, u buy DC is to haul something in the back, those who have a biggest tray is the better.

wow! wow! wow! i can see you guys posted really extreame comments! I tested all 3: Navara, Hilux & l200. Hilux is the BEST workhorse and goes offroad better. Navara is the best comfort & handles better on highways & not for extreme offroader but still get the job done. L200 is in between these two but the interior has better looking. I guess you just cannot have all in one. Towards the end I booked a Navara. 3 long months to wait.

5 Seconds? Great! Girl, it's not a racing car, it's a workers car! If I want to buy a Pickup that can't go into a normal parking slot because its steer angle is far to small, a Pickup that can't go really offroad because the differential is not high enough above the ground and a pickup that will break down every 100 miles I buy the Navara... My company gave me a Navara, i had it half a year and the clutch was gone. 3 months later... rust. No problems with the l200 at all
I mean it has not the best steering angle either, but it's the toughest car I've ever driven and one of the last remaining offroad pickup trucks (Look at the new Hilux-Without any modification you can't drive it over a really rough road - same problem as the Navarra, the diff is to low.)

Exactly you are right, all of the Navara and L200 are small because it is mainly for commercial and not for owners like us looking for best trucks in the market. But i want to tell you somthing that there is an option here as i know in U.A.E Mitsubishi they offer the L200 V6 engine on the higher model of their L200 and some locals who knows the world of trucks they go and buy it, and for the wonderful Navara it is not avilable in U.A.E and Saudi arabia the bigger one ONLY in Oman you can find it
You can find it in Oman I have ordered one for my brother I mean the bigger Navara that has the bigger fenders and the size of the tires is : 255/70R16 bigger than the commercial one that has the smaller fenders an tires. It looks Marvelous and it has the strongest engine (high) diesel 2.5 turbo 172 bhp with 42nm torque, THE BEST.

Yes what you see here in the G.C.C countries is the normal pick up's without the big fenders and with smaller rims and tires because they are mainly used as a commercial business not for pleasure as it is abroad. But you can have the L200 in V6 engine and you can have the Navara I mean the one that look like the Frontier in the U.S.A but with 2.5 diesel turbo engine and it is the best. Believe me I have tested it and I love TORQUE.

you should just know that mitsubishi(Pajero or L200) always had the best results in Paris-Dakar rally....so their evolution series are No1 in the world of rally...but i dont know its pickup abilties...al i know is that it goes on no matter whatever(and how much) you put on it...:D
I would much rather take a TOYOTA over these two. Paris-Dakar cars have no resemblance to their road going variants. i remember toyota landcruiser beating all these brands in a production class in Paris dakar 3 years in arow.
give me the navara. Navara is the best and here in Suriname/South-America where i live most people drive Toyota vigo, mazda B2500 turbo, izusu and nissan navara. The mitsubishi is not so populaire here because they say is weak and poor performance pickup.
why do they have smaller diesels in the uk, these trucks have 3.0l and 3.2l diesels here as well as petrol, and you can get a factory option rear locking differential in the mitsubishi.

Had the L200 and the Ford Ranger now have the Navara. Got to say the Navara is by far the better truck. They should have should the trucks actually carry kit and tackling some off road. There not bloody raly cars, there trucks!

The uk is not the center of the world, and last time I checked region hasn't stopped people from properly rating cars (American Evo 8's in American magazines); I live in the island of trinidad and it suprises me that we have the better versions of these trucks (though I highly doubt that). I will insult fifth gear for mocking a good brand name in this test by getting an automatic L200. I will also insult them for not putting on the Hillux even though it failed the moose test.

this test is clearly paid by nisan... she has no "+" for the l200 and no "-" for the navara... in a real test, there are always pluses and minuses for any model. not to mention that when you do the second time a course, you will be faster for shure.

i guess 5 gear got it all wrong, first who buy DC for speed and car like handling? you want that kind of thing, buy sedan. second, you need high seating and less steering feel, because u need to know where your going in the bush and protect your hand from sudden jolt when the wheel hit a rock. the last, u buy DC is to haul something in the back, those who have a biggest tray is the better.

wow! wow! wow! i can see you guys posted really extreame comments! I tested all 3: Navara, Hilux & l200. Hilux is the BEST workhorse and goes offroad better. Navara is the best comfort & handles better on highways & not for extreme offroader but still get the job done. L200 is in between these two but the interior has better looking. I guess you just cannot have all in one. Towards the end I booked a Navara. 3 long months to wait.

i have both of em.....
the navarra is sooo soft and so comftable that you dont get to feel the exitement on the road and often their 4wd selection slips on slopes
on the other hand my L200 stiffer, higher ground clearance, nicer sound (LOL) and more has the more great feeling of fun and rigidity

5 Seconds? Great! Girl, it's not a racing car, it's a workers car! If I want to buy a Pickup that can't go into a normal parking slot because its steer angle is far to small, a Pickup that can't go really offroad because the differential is not high enough above the ground and a pickup that will break down every 100 miles I buy the Navara... My company gave me a Navara, i had it half a year and the clutch was gone. 3 months later... rust. No problems with the l200 at all

I mean it has not the best steering angle either, but it's the toughest car I've ever driven and one of the last remaining offroad pickup trucks (Look at the new Hilux-Without any modification you can't drive it over a really rough road - same problem as the Navarra, the diff is to low.)
Pickup Truck - L200
Normal offroader - Pajero
Say what you want, I know the Navarra may look better for somebody or be a bit quicker but it's the worst workers car I know...

Exactly you are right, all of the Navara and L200 are small because it is mainly for commercial and not for owners like us looking for best trucks in the market. But i want to tell you somthing that there is an option here as i know in U.A.E Mitsubishi they offer the L200 V6 engine on the higher model of their L200 and some locals who knows the world of trucks they go and buy it, and for the wonderful Navara it is not avilable in U.A.E and Saudi arabia the bigger one ONLY in Oman you can find it

You can find it in Oman I have ordered one for my brother I mean the bigger Navara that has the bigger fenders and the size of the tires is : 255/70R16 bigger than the commercial one that has the smaller fenders an tires. It looks Marvelous and it has the strongest engine (high) diesel 2.5 turbo 172 bhp with 42nm torque, THE BEST.

Yes what you see here in the G.C.C countries is the normal pick up's without the big fenders and with smaller rims and tires because they are mainly used as a commercial business not for pleasure as it is abroad. But you can have the L200 in V6 engine and you can have the Navara I mean the one that look like the Frontier in the U.S.A but with 2.5 diesel turbo engine and it is the best. Believe me I have tested it and I love TORQUE.

@Seba100885 I had booth of the cars , and yes you are right the Navara is much more luxurious and the habitat is much more luxurious , but if you spend 30000 euro on a car you can decide first you want a luxury limousine you can buy an audi a6 a 5 series bmw, but if you want on off-road a real off-road you buy a l200 because it's much more better on a off road terrain... trust me its a lot superior to navara ... and a fuel consumption it half on l200 than one the navara

The uk is not the center of the world, and last time I checked region hasn't stopped people from properly rating cars (American Evo 8's in American magazines); I live in the island of trinidad and it suprises me that we have the better versions of these trucks (though I highly doubt that). I will insult fifth gear for mocking a good brand name in this test by getting an automatic L200. I will also insult them for not putting on the Hillux even though it failed the moose test.

this test is clearly paid by nisan... she has no "+" for the l200 and no "-" for the navara... in a real test, there are always pluses and minuses for any model. not to mention that when you do the second time a course, you will be faster for shure.
