Dear alggsfan, when I first saw this film in the theater, I remember that in the final fight scene Johnny either punched or kicked Daniel in the face and cut Daniel's lip. Daniel wiped some of the blood on his sleeve. A still from the original VHS home video shows this. Another still shows the scene of Dutch sitting down as you revealed. But ever since NBC-TV aired this film for the first time, that cut scene has been missing. Do you have an original print of this film ?

This is one of my favorite movies of the 80's. Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Randee Heller were just brilliant. Oh and I loved Elisabeth Shue, especially her character. With regards to the score of 1 to 1, you have done better if you have given the Laruso-Dutch match as an example since all the other matches are already underway so we could assume that daniel already has a point prior to the last shot. While the Laruso-Dutch match started so they both have zero points and they only hit each other once and after daniel hit dutch he was declared winner.
MISSED ONE-When Miyaugi and Johnny are fighting Mr.Miyuagi flips him over on him back and then chops him in the stomach later on in the movie u see Johnny with a black eye...How do u get a black eye from being flipped over on ur back and then chopped in the stomach???
They were showing a hilights real of the tourney, not every moment of each fight. The score wasn't really 1 - 1, that's just all they showed. I thought that was kinda obvious. The makers probably did as well. In some other parts, I think your supposed to use your imagination that while we didn't see them get up and move, they actually did, although it would have had to have been with lightning speed. :)
Another mistake is when daniel and mr. miyagi go into the dojo to confront Kreese about how the treatment daniel is receiving from his students. You will notice that Johnny has a black eye and Tommy is wearing a sling. When Mr. Miyagi was saving Daniel he never hit Johnny in the face, and he never hit Tommy's shoulder. Also, the scoring at the final fight was weird. I don't understand why Johnny wasn't disqualified for punching and elbowing Daniel's knee yet Bobby was DQ'd.
There is a mistake with Daniel and his band aid. I bought the movie and Ralph Macchio pointed it out. I think after he was beaten up he wore the band aid and then he went to apologize to ali at the arcade and then when he went back to train with Mr. Miyagi he was wearing the band aid again.
Ok,,, so the smoke machine? yes! the Stereo? Yes! The head band? Yes! But be aware that people move you know! Jhonny on the dance floor.. looked like he was motioning to get up last time you saw him! The Shoulder carry change, maybe a bit quick NOT to be an error but whos to say he didnt swap?! but as for standing up vs sitting down and standing next to vs behind.. you ever been to a tournament?.. I challenge anyone not to get caught up in the action and move around! A strong 6/10 for this! ;-)
Look the referess of the tournouament where the martial arts choreographers of the movie so it was so predictable that helped in this scene while shoting ( i mean the last fight ) in my life i have seen back Karate Kid on 1984 and now i realized the headband and the referee showing WiliamXabka which foot to hit !
@alggsfan Duh! They're just being camera whores! ^_^ As for 5:31 that is a clear training mistake. I do that mainly for white belts in my martial arts to tell them what I am attacking with next. ^_^ They call it Dojo Syndrome. :P
in the scene when the cobra kai's ride there motorbikes towards the beach, none of them have helmets, next thing you know, they all start putting helmets on AS THEY RIDE DOWN THE HILL ONTO THE SAND!!
also, some general questions: what the heck is Daniel doing all day that he is in school presumably dismissed at 3:30, then coming home 4 to 5 hours later in the dark! only to be jumped by cobra kai? This happens several times.
the clip when he drops the left when he was holing the right was cos of the need for the shot its tricky to exsplain but it was needed to brig it closer to the camer and show the shot more clearly in stead of useing zoom the swaped hands as the left side would parshaly block the right so they swaped it
@CarlitosDK these are "continuity errors" not bloopers. A blooper is botched dialogue or scenes that aren't placed in the final cut of a production. Each of these errors were in fact in the movie. Great attention to detail to spot most of these but the production of the video could have been much better.

Hey, remember when Daniel threw his bike away, and then he was arguing with his mom? It was night. When they were done, they went to go back to the apartment, but it was day. The argument was short, and I know night doesn't turn into day that fast!
It's amazing how many stupid mistakes there are. I thought the headband mistake was funny. How could they let that happen? I've noticed a mistake that wasn't on here. When Myagi beats up the cobra ki kids, he takes out Johnny. Myagi flips him to the ground and karate chops his chest. In the next seen at the cobra ki dojo, Johnny has a black eye. That's impossible because Myagi never punched Johnny in the face.

@alggsfan -didnt read all the comments so someone may have mentioned it, Another mistake in the movie is during the fight scene by the fence at the apartment when Miyagi saves Daniel. The last one Miyagi takes down is Johnny. It shows Miyagi blocking a kick and punch then flips Johnny and gives him an open handed chop in the chest. He gets up and leaves Johnny laying there holding his chest. The next day Johnny has a black eye. Where did he get it? Miyagi Only hit him in the chest.

There is one logical explanation to account for all of these quote/unquote mistakes.................(wait for it)..........................MOVIE-MAGIC!! Or, lack of attention to slight detail for those with no sense of humor. William Zabka rocks, (of course he can teleport) that guy was money as the resident overbaring prick in every '80's movie he played in.

Who noticed how out of place that whole scene was and how it was so impractical? Daniel was just at a night club where he ran into Terry Silver while breaking a guy's nose and then shortly after, he goes to the dojo to find Terry just hanging out there waiting for him, with his uniform on...and the lights off? Like, wtf? What was the writer thinking while writing that?

That's what makes KK3 such gold is that it's so thoroughly awful all the way through that it falls into the "so bad it's great" category to me. when daniel and myagi are catching flies you can see that the fly is on string. when Miyagi and Daniel leave to go to the Cobra Kai dojo, Miyagi walks out of his house towards the truck. As the camera follows him the boom mic is visible just behind the truck.When Miaygi and Daniel go to the Cobra Kai dojo the day after the Halloween dance, Johnny is seen with a black eye. However, when he fought Miaygi the night before, Miyagi gave him a chop to the stomach, never hitting him in the eye.

Ok,,, so the smoke machine? yes! the Stereo? Yes! The head band? Yes! But be aware that people move you know! Jhonny on the dance floor.. looked like he was motioning to get up last time you saw him! The Shoulder carry change, maybe a bit quick NOT to be an error but whos to say he didnt swap?! but as for standing up vs sitting down and standing next to vs behind.. you ever been to a tournament?.. I challenge anyone not to get caught up in the action and move around! A strong 6/10 for this! ;-)

Look the referess of the tournouament where the martial arts choreographers of the movie so it was so predictable that helped in this scene while shoting ( i mean the last fight ) in my life i have seen back Karate Kid on 1984 and now i realized the headband and the referee showing WiliamXabka which foot to hit !

@alggsfan Duh! They're just being camera whores! ^_^ As for 5:31 that is a clear training mistake. I do that mainly for white belts in my martial arts to tell them what I am attacking with next. ^_^ They call it Dojo Syndrome. :P

a few more -- can't add video to this.
in the scene when the cobra kai's ride there motorbikes towards the beach, none of them have helmets, next thing you know, they all start putting helmets on AS THEY RIDE DOWN THE HILL ONTO THE SAND!!
also, some general questions: what the heck is Daniel doing all day that he is in school presumably dismissed at 3:30, then coming home 4 to 5 hours later in the dark! only to be jumped by cobra kai? This happens several times.

the clip when he drops the left when he was holing the right was cos of the need for the shot its tricky to exsplain but it was needed to brig it closer to the camer and show the shot more clearly in stead of useing zoom the swaped hands as the left side would parshaly block the right so they swaped it

@CarlitosDK these are "continuity errors" not bloopers. A blooper is botched dialogue or scenes that aren't placed in the final cut of a production. Each of these errors were in fact in the movie. Great attention to detail to spot most of these but the production of the video could have been much better.

Hey, remember when Daniel threw his bike away, and then he was arguing with his mom? It was night. When they were done, they went to go back to the apartment, but it was day. The argument was short, and I know night doesn't turn into day that fast!

It's amazing how many stupid mistakes there are. I thought the headband mistake was funny. How could they let that happen? I've noticed a mistake that wasn't on here. When Myagi beats up the cobra ki kids, he takes out Johnny. Myagi flips him to the ground and karate chops his chest. In the next seen at the cobra ki dojo, Johnny has a black eye. That's impossible because Myagi never punched Johnny in the face.

@80skindagirl it`s not the actors job they were just given positions it would be the ADs job i think....but at the filming they are shooting from so many different angles and not only in a day sometimes they are shooting a few seconds scene for a week.
funny thing is sometimes the ADs draw a map and put everyone`s positions on it to avoid mistakes but they are still there!how do they manage it do not ask me it`s a big question for me too:)

I think actors should remember the scenes and say hey I was doing so and so and take it from there to continue the scene because sometimes the director has too many things in his mind to notice everything, I've always thought actors should do that.

@alggsfan -didnt read all the comments so someone may have mentioned it, Another mistake in the movie is during the fight scene by the fence at the apartment when Miyagi saves Daniel. The last one Miyagi takes down is Johnny. It shows Miyagi blocking a kick and punch then flips Johnny and gives him an open handed chop in the chest. He gets up and leaves Johnny laying there holding his chest. The next day Johnny has a black eye. Where did he get it? Miyagi Only hit him in the chest.

Miyagi is the founder of goju-ryu from 200 years ago and gets past down, kung fu is a martial art, not karate.

alggsfan, it is apparent that you have clearly watched The Karate Kid incredibly way too many times (no shame there/I love comedies). There is one logical explanation to account for all of these quote/unquote mistakes.................(wait for it)..........................MOVIE-MAGIC!! Or, lack of attention to slight detail for those with no sense of humor. William Zabka rocks, (of course he can teleport) that guy was money as the resident overbaring prick in every '80's movie he played in.

How about the scene at the end of the 3rd movie when Daniel goes to the cobra kai dojo to call it quits with Terry Silver? Who noticed how out of place that whole scene was and how it was so impractical? Daniel was just at a night club where he ran into Terry Silver while breaking a guy's nose and then shortly after, he goes to the dojo to find Terry just hanging out there waiting for him, with his uniform on...and the lights off? Like, wtf? What was the writer thinking while writing that?

That's what makes KK3 such gold is that it's so thoroughly awful all the way through that it falls into the "so bad it's great" category to me. I have endless hours of fun disecting the films witless writing. I love the movie.

when daniel and myagi are catching flies you can see that the fly is on string. when Miyagi and Daniel leave to go to the Cobra Kai dojo, Miyagi walks out of his house towards the truck. As the camera follows him the boom mic is visible just behind the truck.When Miaygi and Daniel go to the Cobra Kai dojo the day after the Halloween dance, Johnny is seen with a black eye. However, when he fought Miaygi the night before, Miyagi gave him a chop to the stomach, never hitting him in the eye.
