I think maybe it is called the butterfly in tecktonik and called the figure eight in gloving! :) According to Wikipedia: "It (tecktonik) is based on, although is not limited to, a blend of different dance styles, such as Industrial, Disco, Vogue, Waacking, Hip-Hop and Freehand Glowsticking." So that must be why it looks similar, since Tecktonik is based on different dances. :D
