  • 11:45 WOW nice SONG

  • 3:50 always got me pumped when I played this as a kid.

  • everytime I come here.. I pray like in a Shrine.

  • Those Cut scenes in 87 ere intense especially the robert scenes..

  • @NiggadickJaxHD

    I remember your MK2 match vids =p

  • Hey there, I was wondering if I could use some of your videos for some game remixes I plan on doing. Actually, a lot of them are from Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2. I'll be sure to credit you if you agree, and link back the resulting videos. Thanks.

  • @Maliki321

sure. go ahead aslong as you link back to the original.

  • a fact for those that didn't understand the storyline: when you get to 16:08 on jaquio's part, it isn't really the jaquio talking in the story line. its actually the demon (the final boss from the first ninja gaiden) talking through jaquio. jaquio was just merely the demon statue's follower. ashtar was merely the pawn. when he says "the spirit released after our battle flowed into my body" the demon possesed jaquio's dead body. thats why the final boss is a full reincarnated demon just to show u

  • I love the scene at 11:32. As a kid, this told me I got very far into the game. Looking back on it now, I admire how well they set out the scenes with the limited technology of the time. And the music for it is awesome!

  • I still have this on the NES. I remembered the first time I finally beat this thing and felt damn impressed. The game was frickin impressive. Looking back on it, that wasn't just it. I know I wasn't the only one that played this and felt bad for Robert (the T S in his name stands for The S*** btw) Or that you really wanted to put that sword down Ashtar's throat after stabbing Irene. (Of course Ryu running after Ashtar before did it too.)

This game just rocked and rocked hard.

  • @ 17:39 (to awesome music):

Jaquio: Hm, hm, hm, hm. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Ryu: Are you finished? I've had enough of your speeches. And I've had enough of YOU!

Jaquio: Then fight, Ninja Dragon ---- the last of your clan. Now, we shall decide whether Light . . .or Darkness is to be the true master!!

    TOTAL PWNAGE!!!!

  • Man this game scared me to death as a child!!! I

  • it is most incedible that a nes game has over 26 minutes of animation and story

  • ohhhhhhhhh my god! i havent seen this game's cut scenes in ages one of my 1st NES games thank you for putting this on youtube wowwwww! =] memories that is all that remains =]

  • @ELFATHER1313

I put up all NG1,2,3 NES AND NG 123 SNES versions up ALONG with the slightly different Turbo Grafx 16. So you should be able to watch them all. =) And if you wanted more, I have the NG2 Xbox 360 cutscenes in 1 video aswell.

  • @ELFATHER1313 wow

  • This was the first nes game I ever bought. Thanks for the trip thru memory lane!

  • 11:25 breaking the 4th wall, are we Ryu?

  • 05:19 I don't get it. How the NES could provide such awesome video effects back then? And, by the way, if it could, then why these effects were so rare to exist?

  • This game is porbably the only game in the history that took advatage of the sentence "What the..."

  • @Darkplayer01

    Ninja Gaiden 1 used alot of " ....... " moments, lol =D

  • this game is a fucking masterpiece

  • Never got far in this one... the storyline in the cutscenes is nowhere near as awesome as in Ninja Gaiden I.

  • Is it me or does Ashtar resemble Shredder from TMNT? Great scenes . . . . how would this (and the original NG games) look re=mastered for PS3/360

  • I love this game and the manga to go with it presented by Nintendo Power Magazine.

  • Man, this game is beyond awesome. I remember not being able to beat it ... truth me told, I still can't beat it! That last boss always gets me! I kinda wish they'd take the new ninja gaiden games back to their roots. Anyway, props on the awesome video. Thanks for posting it!

  • i love how robert jump in to save the day on ryu and irene's behalf at 4:46 and then that creepy music plays...LOVE IT!

  • Wow! Ninja Gaiden 2 was much more evil-demonic game than part 1

  • I can't explain how happy I was as a kid when I managed to walk through this game. The last cutscene moved me deeply.

  • 13:08 Doh!

  • I played number 1, and fell in love, then a few year later found out they had a number 2, but haven't been able to find it. I'll check Ebay again, but man this series was awesome.

  • i guess on this sequel they hired new actors to play the characters parts...ryu looks young compared to the first one.

  • Brilliant. I never realized how long the cut scenes were for this series. I can't think of a single NES game with anything comparable. Not to mention Epic! That struggle was unmatched in its day. A true and shining example of story juxtaposed with fantastic action.

  • I like how these games always open with random gunshots.

  • I bow to the creator of this game my childhood was fixed on saving the world from hard ass evil characters like this.....

  • RIP, Robert. Keep cappin' asses in the afterlife.

  • Its sad the old nes ver puts the new game to shame in quality

  • i wish i would have grown up back in the day when there were games like this because the new games of today have nothing on the content of legendary games like this. everything about this game spells E-P-I-C

  • This game did the "fooled you, the game is only half over" thing years before Castlevania SOTN did. Still probably my favorite story-heavy game of the 8 or even 16 bit eras. The story and music were unsurpassed. Screw the modern day Ninja Gaidens, this was the pinnacle.

  • God this game was epic. One of the gems of my entire childhood

  • @JohnnyFiction

    For alot of us.

  • @JohnnyFiction that gem got stolen from me when i was young. it wasnt till 8 years later i got anather copy of the game

  • @JohnnyFiction

For a whole lot of us lol.

  • @JohnnyFiction Fuck yea man.

  • Oh Hell, I remember when this game was COMING out, I was so damn excited, reading Nintendo Power updates on it, then finally one day going to get it at Toys R Us. It was between this game or Ninja Gaiden 3, so glad I got this one instead. Oh the memories I have of this game, that time in my life where things were so much better. No money problems, not having to have a job, no girl problems. I wish I could go back there.

  • @theamericanpsycho79 your words... make me reflec a really hard.... no girl problems, no money problems... only and simple funny days of ever

  • i saw jaquio and first thing tat creeped me the hell out was , WAH WTF A HUGE FREAKIN SPIDER!

  • 11:40

    AWESOME

  • even for old nes game these had some the best cut scenes

  • pop a cap in zombie ass

  • a lot of people said that this game had a lot of blood, but little kids probably won't get that far in the game to see it

  • The game has guns..swords..demons..ninjas..what's not to like!!

  • I first played this game when I was 6. Can't really explain how much it captivated my imagination at the time, heck, it's still awesome 18 years later!

  • This music reminds me to Iron Maiden and Stratovarius is great :D Always love'em

  • 18:24 i'm shocked Nintendo allowed blood in the early days of some games but completely freaked out over Mortal Kombat 1. Bionic Commando had hitlers head expoloding.

  • The Jaquio is the shit in this game!

  • @482christopher

yea, itseasy to defeat him as first final boss

  • @482christopher he was almost impossible to beat....lol...everytime u came close to beating the game he would revive himself...it pissed me right off when i was a kid lol

  • the music rules!!

  • great job man. this brought back memories! makes me want to go dust off my nes. this game was definitely intense and action packed, kept me on the edge. i love the scene when he's hanging on the side of the cliff...awesome image. i really appreciate you doing a vid like this. good thinking!!

  • @horsemen601

I did it for all 3 games on NES and SNES which had slightly updated graphics. I also did it for the Turbo Graphix 16, Master System and XBox 360 versions. =)

  • I was told to go to bed an hour ago. Buut its its shit like this that keeps me coming back overnight....lol. I love the internet and foos like you. THANKS A FUCKIN BUNCH.ME

  • @sovalouX

    Word!!

  • thanks for putting them all together - just what i was looking for! i played for the music and the story...this seemed more compelling than the 1st, although the first was pretty epic!

  • the music rulezz!

  • Great Job on this Video a hard game but, i beat it years ago thankfully. I still have it and will always cherish it. Big Up

  • 11:37 mi favorite part

  • @daniellunaflores I agree! I wanna make a game where the main character has a bad ass scene like that. motherfuckin epic

  • 8:21 the best out of context scene from a game on the interweb:P

all kidding aside i friggen loved these game, even though me and my brother could never beat it without game genie

  • these never die! ..

  • 7:40 - 9:45 and on and on is great

    Incredible direction and music

  • God I love the music. Timeless.

  • Tecmo im beggin ya bring back JAQUIO He will always be Ryus #1 nemesis.

  • robert D: noooooooo

  • Man, Ashtar always freaked me the hell out.

  • LOL @ 12:15.

    Jaquio is Jewish???

  • the song ryu and irene that plays at 10:29 and other parts of the game is just a damn well great composed song for them. ive looked all over no downloadable copy..:(

  • ahhh the 1st bit war good times good times

  • LOL @ 13:08

  • I loved every second of these cuts as a kid. So dark and so deep how couldn't you love this game?! The cuts made a great game into a freakin legend of the occult! Gotta love it.

  • @TheGames32

    ....?!!!

  • Not as good as the first one..but still...good memories..

  • 02:32 epic song!

  • the best now and always

  • This game is hard as anything. Man this brings back memories.

  • best music & story in the series.

  • The Baron Spider's desing is just creative and scary. It's like a doll with a huge body. I remember when I was a kid I turned my head or press start to avoid to see him.

  • i think the character design in the nes series is a huge better than the xbox series, xbox bosses look like a pink fairy tale, baron spider is so cool and creepy!

  • @Hellstinger I thought Dando was creepy as hell, myself

  • when I was a kid,I took these missions more serios than the military, beware evil is everywhere man!

  • Oh my gosh, i remember when i was 4 the intro had made me cry because Ashtar freaked the fuck outta me combined w. that music!! xD

  • DIE LITTLE NINJA!!!

ashtar boss fight was way harder than final boss

  • This is one of my top NES games if not my favorite.

  • the dialogue is off the chain

  • man all the ninja gaiden games have MARVELOUS stories behind them. Its Legendary like the metroid games.

  • i remember this game, had a damn good story with some fun game play

  • only to imagine that i was only 11 when the first ninja gaiden came out. but ninja gaiden 2 is what really got me into the series since it was the first one i really played into in 1990.

  • 14:28 -my favorite part! Rob kickin' ass, going down in a blaze of heroic glory!

  • old memory never fade away

  • NINJAS ARE AWESSOME!!!! COOL GAME

  • This one and the 1st one are some of the best games ever... the third one sort of tapered off but was still good... much more challenging than the one on the XBox.

  • OMG!!! my childhood!

  • Yeah even mine, probably the best cutscenes on NES platform

  • oh shit! i remember this!

  • my favorite ninja gaiden game

  • same here :) ^_^

  • Lets see... kickass series like ninja gaiden, Castlevania, Double Dragon. The old days kicked ass, and when you got kickass stuff, you got some kickass shit!

  • i love all the Ninja gaidens music!!

  • 11:33 is epic!

  • Indeed. That scene defines my childhood.

  • Mine too. I remember I was really blown away of how cool it looked that scene LOL XD

  • They need to remake all of this game 4 next gen. The story was boss. Ashtar was badass from hell. The levels, enemies, and bosses were sick! The 1st game rocked as well. Never played 3 though. They ran a pretty violent and disturbing comic of the story in nintendo power. Might've been a guide. Know it was NP though. At that time, what he hell else was there? EGM maybe? Way off subject. From the bottom of my heart, thanks 4 posting all of your videos.

  • No problem. I'm also a fan of the classics and I grew up with this game and only now as an adult did I really want to see all the cutscenes in all 3 games on both NES and SNES. :)

  • Thx for posting this I remember how much I liked this game :D

  • No problem. Put up the SNES versions too.

  • i rember this just by the music from when i was a kid i loved it

  • none of the villans in the new ninja gaiden don't look nowhere near as cool as ashtar

  • Yeah he looks cool

  • BEST GAME CUT SCENES EVER!

  • 11:44 is so badass

  • Indeed...you're staring into the mouth of hell.

  • One of the best Classic Ninja Gaiden Games ever.

  • This vid takes real long oh well pretty good

  • recuerdo este juego irene

    la espada del dragon

    el tipo con pistola todo

recuerdo ke lo termine a los 9 años o algo asi bueno

    este es un super juego

  • 5 stars!

  • 2:30.... I remember how fucking scared i was at this part as a kid... the music and everything just sent chills up my ass LMAO

  • same here bro... i was like 5 when this game came out that's some good graphics scary monster!!!lol

  • This very well could be one of the top games ever made, I cant believe its been almost 20 years since I bought this.

  • This brings back so many memories. I remember for a time, this game was all I could think about. I even got pissed that I had to go to school, because it was taking away from my Ninja Gaiden time

  • damn man

    thanks for uploading!!!

  • yup

  • This was my first Ninja Gaiden game i owned (I rented the first one). This was one of the most fun and challenging games I ever played and its also one of the best video game stories ever. No wonder after over 20 years Ryu Hayabusa is stil kicking ass.

  • Best series of games ever made (Ninja Gaiden Trilogy). This is trully remarcable, the music, the graffics, the story, everything is awesome. And how challenging is to finish this game...

  • fucking awesome game and music thanks for the vid

  • Glad you liked it.

  • I thank you so much for uploading this vid!Last time i played this game more than 10 years ago.Great feeling to see it again!

  • Glad you liked it. Thankx for the comment.

  • Thanks for posting this, it brought me memories. I never was able to beat the final boss. I remember the last stage was difficult as hell and when you got to the boss, my energy level was really low and on top of that, the final monster was ultradifficult. I finally can see the ending, 15 years after!.

  • AMO ESTE JUEGO ........ EL MEJOR DE NES

  • I loved the Ashtar vs Ryu staredown swords flickering and noise talking as a child. Very epic!

  • in history of video games and movies sequels are always a crap ... for the first time ever history make a mistake ninja gaiden 2 was and still one o the greatest game ever

  • For my money, the greatest 8-bit game intro of all time, and probably in the top 10 of ANY era. Amazing what they managed to pull off in the intro considering how limited the technology was. Fantastic music.

  • This was THE game and it is so underrated.. Old School nothing like it :) - I love the music, intro (wicked) story, suspense, action, just fucking LOve this game. I love the music dramtazation at 2:27, 8:18, 4:49, 20:51 jeje really put me in the story :D thanks for posting this up bro!!

  • Glad you liked it. I guess it was worth recording it cause now I see how many fans this game had.

  • Poor robert. Such a hero he was :(

  • THERE'S SO MUCH THAT I WANT TO COMMENT ON! It's beyond belief how far they pushed the 8-bit graphics on game just like they did for Chrono Trigger and FF3/6! There should be a direct remake of this game that has an "old school" option that replaces the remake cut scenes with NES ones! What is the difference between this video and your other video with the same name? I think you should've put the "Act III" slides in the video. No ending? :( Nice quality! And very well done editing! :)

  • The endings are in the videos... The ACT slides were useless data as it doesn't really provide any cutscene footage so I didn't need to include them. The SNES version of this Trilogy had renewed music and sprite quality. Have a look. Most ppl prefer the NES sounds though.

  • nice intro......i remember the night i spent playing this awsome game... thanks

  • No problem

  • i love this game and especially it's music...

  • Like alot of us.

  • Jaw dropping awesome... the Ninja Gaiden Series was my life as a child! [aside from the Megaman Series] The unforgettable NES soundtrack had me playing the NG2 Intro countless times along side many many favorites. I didn't like the "remixing" they did in the Trilogy.. but enuff talking - i'm going to enjoy the rest of the cutscenes haha..

  • Glad you're enjoying them.

  • I really dont have words to describe the feelings inside me seeing this!!!

Since I was a kid this game remains in my heart....All the game is just amazing---From 11:33 to 11:59 superb..about 15 years ago used to feel was with Ryu watching the skull temple!!!

    Thanks for share it mate!!!

  • glad you enjoyed it

  • Dear Mother...i remember playing this and defeating it when i was like 8 or 9. so good. i loved the story and the comic like movie shots they had in here. oh thank you so much for adding this. this is going on my playlist

  • Your welcome, thankx for the comment.

  • Thanks for uploading man; great memories.

  • no problem

  • Man they dont make games like they used to. very sad.

  • These animations are remarkably superb. It's primitive, but classic. I love the shots of him standing very distant from the towers with the chasm in between.

  • I never realized they beefed up the music and animations on the Ninja Gaiden Trilogies for the Super NES...lol

  • 16 bit sprites do look better then 8 bit ones anyways.

  • lol true, but for some reason I thought they just left them as is, and just compiled them onto a trilogy. Had it not been for searching youtube I would have never been able to see Ninja Gaiden in it's 8 bit glory :) lol

  • They looked better, but they ruined some of the music.

  • The cinemas in Ninja Gaiden 2 are by far the best looking cinemas of all versions of Ninja Gaiden! Ninja Gaiden the arcade on the other hand, is the best version of the game! With really cool graphics and music! Great 2-player gameplay, like Double Dragon!

  • i always liked the music on the nes better than the snes one

  • I have to say something: this is the very Best of Ninja Gaiden Compilations that I have seeing here, the only thing that I have to say is:... why you don't include the original cinemas of the episodes? yes, the scenario when Ryu appears with the sword and that little music....between the chapters?

  • Because that's not a cutscene. It's useless data.

  • i think the old games had a better story than the new ones

  • i told my friend the same thing

  • I agree

  • Yeah man this shit brings back memories lol great job Acid

  • Thankx. I'm glad alot of ppl like all the cutscenes into 1 video. I wanted to see them myself from childhood memories.

  • Lol as a kid I was always skipping the cutscene and go directly to the gameplay (what a noob I was)Later on you notice they were actually pretty good for that era.

  • if irene worked for my cia agency i would have to fire her...she gets captured more than princess toadstool!

  • I love the sidelong glance at 19:00. It's almost like Ryu is getting jaded to fighting apocalyptic demons.

  • My favorite Ninja Gaiden. . .because it's the only one that I've ever managed to beat, LOL.

  • Considering the technology available, the cinemas in this game are fantastic.

  • The Sewer Rat was such a bad mofo, he needs his own spin off series where he improbably survives the sewer

  • oh god, this is my favourite aprt of the NES trilogy, i didn't liked most teh new ones, anwya great work, thanks! =D
