@ssips720 No. She was diagnosed with PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) when she was 6 yrs and just started to train, and then she went totally blind. So she got most of obedience skills and tricks after she had lost eyesight :)
@help101 Thank you. She loves clicker training and requests me to do some exercises every day :) I only enjoy training with her. I think that anyone who understands positive reinforcement training method can teach that.
@kidowmer Thank you :) Through training with Nono, I knew that sound is easier for blind dog to understand as hint/prompt than scent. Scent becomes diffuse. Especially, strong scent that is perceptible by human confuses her. So I don't add some scent to target now. I try to make Nono detect a target self-scent.
Yay Nono-chan!! always such a clever girl! discrimination exercise was really nice!! Miki, your captions and the information at the end are great too! Well done! :-))
What a great idea! I am definitely going to be telling even more people about your channel so that you can inspire even more people. Thanks for sharing what you do. Great job, Nono!
@azmauigirl Thank you very much! I'm happy to hear that. I want more people to know about great potencial of positive reinforcement training and blind dog :)
