do not do give people fols hope. Dyslexia is not a problem. People not understanding is a problem. it is not something u need to fix. u need to fix people understanding.

dont give ur kids extra work. i am dyslexic all the programs r a waste of time. all they do is damage. The best thing u can do is get Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0. look it up it is the only thing worth doing. Tell your kids that it is nothing to worry about. Not worrying is the only way that dyslexic people can learn

Sorry about the two post, but plz do not call it a cure, it is not pc, as it makes it sound like we are ill, also, they (medical science) may not find a "cure" as there may not be one.

man, what are you on about, i have Dyslexia and i know that it CAN NOT BE CURED, and even if it can be, it has its good side, i wood not and do not want to give it up, just live whit it, so what if we have to work up to 20 times harder to do the same work, over come it, Dyxlexia is a not an eye problem or a nerve problem, if it was they wood have a cure, but they do not, It can not be healed, it is all about the way the brain is wired, just look @ a ct of a Dyxlexia brain and you will see!!!

Actually, it is a nerve problem. It isn't because of any damage to the optic nerve though. It's not correct to say that it can't be cured. We just don't know how to cure all levels of it yet. For some people it's enough to increase the low density fatty acids in the neural membran, by eating more fish (for exampel). It's documented. It doesn't work for everyone though. However it shows that the state isn't irreversible.

because there IS no cure, it not a desiease and shouldn't be treated as one. Its the way your brain is wired. Anyone who is cured, was simply misdiagnosed.

I whent to a school for the learning disabled for 7 years with others like me and teachers specificaly trained to teach us. Its only a disability in the conventional school system

It's a neural dysfunction. No one is saying that it's affecting ones value, but it is by all definition a cronical disease, and by unfolding the neurofysiological cause(s) to it, there shouldn't be anything to stop the medical science from finding a cure.

dislexia isn't an eye problem? And it can't be cured. Its a way your mind is wired, its in your very nature. I've been diagnosed for 15 years. got through school and got a BA.

Infact when tested most dislexics score higher on IQ tests than normal people. All in all its a better way for your mind to be wired, its just that it goes against the norm so all conventional learning methods don't work for it.

I am with you on this 1 I have dislexia and I know I will allways have it. It is just the way thigs are. It pisses me off when people give false hopes you can NOT be cured you just have to find a way round the probs and play to your strengths.
