The odd thing about the music in this game is that the song that plays throughout was also used in the PC Ghostbusters II game from the same year. Both made by Dynamix, so I guess I'm not surprised.
you gotta use the infinite money trick! its so fun to buy a lot of caltrops and max out on terminators you pwn pretty much everything, just simply click on the most expensive item (if i remember it was the armor) and then click to other selections where you dont see the armor anymore and click buy and itll say something like you have to be on the screen and then it gives you the amount on what the armors worth and you repeat till you get enough to buy everything
I played this so much back in the day. I've been thinking of taking on a modern version of this for a while now cause Resurrection is horrible, and it doesn't deserve to have the name "Death Track".
Best game ever!!! Sadly, I got a disc virus and lost the game. They don't make them that simple anymore. Sly was my driver. Mine was my favorite weapon.
Wow, playing this on the old Tandy 1000. hee hee hee. The good old days!!! We broke alot of joysticks! This and all the games from Sierra, like Kings Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry. And then the orignal Test Drive. Oh crap, I just O.D.'ed on nostalgia!
How on earth did you get it running so well-mannered? It's a real pain on trying to get it working with present-day computers. Moslo and slowing down dosbox only results in jerky movements.
Man.. the memories, I was a tiny kid when I played this.
It was a bitch back in the early 90ies too. All that was available in the 80ies when this game came out was 4-8MHz, so it's supposed to run slow if the speed is to be balanced. I suspect they felt that making the game run faster depending on the CPU was a good idea, and thus didn't foresee real clock dependant timing. Also, a full image update on the graphics card limited the performance, which made the game run at more stable speed. With a Tseng card from 90ies or DOSBox this is not the case.
Mo'slo and any emulator like DOSbox never run this game properly. Your best bet is just to get a 386 computer with an EGA...however surprisingly those old PCs which were often tossed in the dumpsters are now expensive! ;(
I always wanted to see a modern version of this game produced. not much would need to be changed, just update the graphics and controls. there was Full Auto, but nothing compares to the original.
I always wanted to get a car and deck it out with all those weapons when I was little.
too bad they didn't have network multi-player back then.
man I loved this game. I was too young to understand how to play it properly and now that I'm older I want to play it again and do it properly. Thanks for uploading.
Sly was always the slowest.
