Okay I give up. I've been looking for ways to download free psp games onto my 3001 psp. But they say u need custom firmware then I need a pandora battery and some memory stick. This is all just to much. I would like to be able to do this but i guess i'll just have to buy them.

i tried to put games on my psp in every way. i have one of those very first psp (i got in a package with Daxter) i have a 2gb memcard. My CFW is 6.35, the latest version.

anyways, i made the folder "ISO" in the root (where you find VIDEO MUSIC PSP) , downloaded a CSO and an ISO to try. put it as saved and as runned on it, but both dont work...

@toastedwaffle5 i haven't tried it yet, but as shadowXP6 says, you need to hack it in order to start downloaded games. then you just find the games on google. for example: "GTA: Chinatown wars psp torrent (or instead of torrent you can use download or iso, depends what Google Instant says)" download it.

@toastedwaffle5 and then connect your psp with the computer with an usb-cable. there you have a menu with PSP VIDEO GAMES etc. there you make a new folder named ISO. when your download is complete, put it in the folder, and according to everyone on internet you should be able to play the game when you disconnected your psp SAFELY (else data will lose) and open it on your psp... i guess that would be at GAMES or at GAMES-saved data. lemme know if it worked :-D

@sweetymeathome2012 I can download the games and add or put them on the ISO folder;right but when i disconnect my psp from the computer and take it off from the USB connection, i go over to my games list and bam it isn't there, well the saved game file ins't there in my psp. Maybe i'am doing something wrong or other times i just don't know :P

@toastedwaffle5 it is just like i said, all you did was right, EXCEPT what like shadowXP6 says, you need to hack the battery... its like a firewall on your computer, put a little not-dangerous-virus in it so the firewall sees through the game as if it were real, explained it well i hope?? and shadowXP6 has a vid how to hack the battery. but you can also buy a Pandora-battery, that has the same effect, tho idk where to buy it..

@toastedwaffle5 well, your psp has a security system you need to hack, this systems is there so you won't download any games to play, so that you buy them. it is waaaay easier if you wouldnt have to hack your system, yeah i agree... but without the hacking or the pandora battery, you can't play any games without hacking, believe me, because i tried it! then theres the problem that you need a certain sort of file. you need, like i said be4, an .iso or some other, but you can find it on google

no, u need custom firmware. official firmware cant run ISO files on the psp, and custom firmware can run it. the reason sony official firmware wont run it is because thats how u play pirated games. and the version ur at is too high to mod now, unless u make a pandora battery and have someone else that has CFW on their psp.
