are the carbs of a honda dio and honda tact the same? coz i got a tact here at home but it's about a year since i last used it. it fires up but dies on me in about a minute or so. you think it's just the main jet?
@hajileh Sounds like the main jet clogged with old dried gas. Buy some starter fluid and and squirt a little into the carb and fire it up, if it runs for a second and stops, the main jet is clogged, get a needle and punch thru the obstruction on the jet and it should work fine. This is the most common carb problem in the universe.
Hey! I have a huge question. I disassembled my scooter the other day and I just want the motor. Its a 4 stroke motor. I have NO idea about motors. The question is: how do i get it to start? Do I need the battery to get it working? Or can I just use the kick and it will start after some time? ill send a link of my engine on mail if some one wants to see what I’m talking about.

Well Matt, they dont sell Piaggio or typhoons in America. I have never seen one and never worked on one. II have never seen a aerox or most bikes sold in europe or around the world. That is why I have an 18 year old Dio because they dont sell good two stroke scooters here. I can buy an aircraft carrier before I could buy a decent scooter.
they actually do sell them they are sold by vespa because they sell the piaggio fly 50 and 150 along with the piaagio mrc 500 or something like that vespa sells piaggio's and stuff like that but they are shitty...i got a QMB and i have no had a minutes problem out of it except the starter i had to swap from a spare motor i got for free...and it fired right up no minutes problem yet..and now i got a stereo in the seat of my scooter and it works great.

I have a question...I just installed a performance cdi and ignition coil for my pitbike 4 stroke..I started it once but it died on me due to improper card adjustment...after it died i cant start it again...I checked the coil connection and everything..one problem may be is that the spark plug is black on tip...but it worked fine before...so if you guys can help me out id appreciate it..thanx
hi i dont supose you can help me but i cleaned my carb off and cleaned the float bowl and main jet and pilot jets because they were both blocked and ive put it all back in but now wen i go to start my bike it dont start by either the electric start or by bumping it can you help i have a peugeot xps 50cc if that helps
Take off your air cleaner, get some starter fluid and spray a LITTLE of it in the back of the carb with the throttle open. Then start immediately. If it runs for 3 seconds and quits, you have a blocked main jet. If it wont start at all , you probably have a bad spark plug or no spark. RH DSD
thanks for the info. but i cleaned mine, put all back together. now somehow it don't even crank. the thing i am concerned is the little filter thing (appears on the video around 1.09 min) was dirty, forgot which way the arrow should point towards... a=can anybody helf me on that?
Take off the bowl again, unscrew the brass jet, (the little filter thing you call it) , hold it up to the light and see if the pinhole jet is clogged with dried fuel. Use a thin wire or tooth brush to unclogg the jet. Hold to the light to check, re-install and try to start the bike. RH DSD
just cleaned my carb with this guid , works perfectly , supprisingly after 7000 miles the inside was next to spotless, but the out side was thick with oil and mud :P
Amazing I've watched 4 of your vids now and I don't see you cleaning anything!! Try getting a friend to hold the cam so you can use both hands. How about showing before and after and also how you clean the carbs rather than just a can of cleaner and some cotton buds in the shot? Be a lot easier for people to see how you strip and reassemble the carb!! P.S. Is the 28mm flatslide a power jet jobbie? NICE
get a ultrasonic jewlery cleaner and leave the jetts in that for a while.
