It was a very bad ad campaign. In that comercial he talked about Hd Dvd for about 5 secounds. They could have showed off the features and mentioned some movies that where coming to Hd Dvd. So yeah the comercial did suck.

I can assure you I'm quite sane, where do I begin? That overloaded cheap human antics employed to distill the Ape that the original film did so well, the lousy emotionally-suggestive music score that dominates every scene pounding stupidity in my ear drums instead of making a film that doesnt need violins to strike you feelings, add to that lousy cgi that doesnt put me there but glides me like a child, and youll know why its crap.

Both are disasters but the fan following and unconditional love of the lord of the rings trilogy has pinched my lips shut--let them have their joy I think it could have been a lot better and if it's dissected scene by scene it's very average filmmaking in a lot of instances. Spiderman trilogy was awful, commercial exploitive bs. Remember the first one with a macy gray concert, soulless.

Ah rational thinking at last, spiderman did indeed suck the big one. Lord of the rings trilogy was the cornerstone of film making, and today a lot of films are trying to live up to it, Narnia and Bridge to terabitha as bad examples.
