  • I love it. Black entreperneurs doing there thang, and giving back. I never knew this about the Troutmans. Good to here.

  • Wow I thought Zapp was very world when I was a child. And the truth is that the brothers and friends were some good brilliant people! I just wish that the two brothers went and talked to their mother about their financial problems.

  • Love Computer Love ..even now its classic!

  • Wonderful the way that they gave back to the community.More artist should do it.

  • brother at 4:45 is really overstating Computer Love - its a great classic but come on

  • GIVING BACK NOW THAT'S WHATS UP

  • Is it just me or does Larry look like Richard Prior with that mustaches?

  • roger's son is hella fine

  • How could his own brother turn into a HATER. Ugh! Enemies are of your own household.

  • roger troutman = genius.

  • Computer Love was way ahead of its time!

  • Roger was amazing

  • Thant's what I'm talking about--Drug-FREE!!!! (:

  • He was talkin bout Facebook.... in the 80's

  • The Troutman's are one Good Looking Family.

  • Oh My Goodness...I did not know that Shirley Murdock was the female voice on "Computer Love". This song will always be MY JAM!!!

  • Well let me be one to say that Roger Troutman was a genius that was way ahead of hts time.

  • ill never stop watching this unsung.....

  • i thank whom ever post this,GOD IS SO AWESOME to hold them together,we need to pray and ask GOD TO KEEP US IN HIS HANDS AND HE'S WILL AMEN.

  • Computer Love: my first slow dance...Don't ask me what the guy's name was! I just rememer he had a Jheri curl.

  • What a sad story..and such a big loss for US! We as a people loss on a whole...

  • The CIA murdered both of those brothers.Fuck them devils!!!!

  • It's amazing how "Computer Love" forsehadowed the future. Who thought in 1985 that people would one day romance one another through a computer screen?

Online dating is so popular that they even have commercials adverising it.

  • thats so inspring...as a musician. watchin this makes me get more devoted...nd focused...nd makes me try to get better as a human

  • ugh at 4:40 this chattering idiot Barry benson is a serious buzz kill, dude is deadass explaining the song to us like we dont know the meaning of the song. ur seriously giving us the synopsis of a song that is clear in it's message? smh. he almost ruined it for me but "computer love" is sitll my favorite song of all time.

  • now thats how u give back, bless others with what god bless u with,ZAPP BAND WAS 1 OF A KIND!!!

  • Legendary funk group!

The narrator stated that Roger had never married, but I'm remembering that one of the mothers of his children mentioned that she was once married to him.

  • if many rappers did what the troutmans did the hood would be a lot better but in stead they spend their money on meaningless items wayne's retarded ass would never do shxt lyke that

  • @OFFTheWALLTVee thats where you dont know wht you talking about because wayne is one of the top donators in NEW O. and Fla.

  • Roger was fine as hell! I probably would have been a groupie or one of the baby mothers, sadly. j/p

    but he was really cute

  • This group was indeed a great loss to us all. They have stolen so much from our beautiful Black musicians, who (gave) freely and innocently but who were taken from seductively, strategically and ruthlessly. And ultimately corrupted. What has been the TRUE price have (we) paid... for all this illusionary American fame? Black people... the few who are left... need to be thinkin about that question.

  • Anytime you see Snoop dancing to Old School Music, He gets respect from me. I cracked up when I saw Snoop dancing to "Hole In The Wall". Respect Snoop!!!

  • You'll do'nt know what Roger and Zapp was like, in the world, but I was there, I was a kid, but I was there, I remember first time people and myself heard this sound of Roger and Zapp. THUMBS UP FROM ME! To the 3rd power!

  • Larry's daughter is fine.

  • Damn! I love them even more now! We talk about missing "back in the day." We HAVE to make that day TODAY! Beautiful!

  • I love computer love

  • Black Men = Disciplined, Drug Free, Money Making, Work a holics.......

  • roger was so fine .rip.

  • Rap and hip hop is the dumbing down of black music fans. You don't need to learn how to play a musical instrument anymore. Just rap and get arrested. Wow we got Snoop Dog today, how wonderful.

  • @DEEP177 Its so funny but now even Snoop seems more respectable than most rappers today! No one could tell you that like 15 years ago! Its just getting worst!

  • "Computer Love" ,"I Wanna Be Your Man". Ahh man, such classics....

  • I love how snoop is so enthusiastic about this wonderous group.

  • I love this group...

  • That's great how the rebuilt their community and gave those in the community work and work skills. All these balling ass rappers these days will buy a million dollar diamond before helping their people. Pretty sad. RIP Roger. THis is a fantastic documentary. Thanks for the post.

  • @tknockerson You summed up exactly what I was thinking.

  • @tknockerson I had NO idea. So wonderful. Makes the tragedy that more tragic

  • @tknockerson YEAH AND RAPPERS WOULD RATHER BUY 1.5 MILLION BUGGATTI THAN HELP BLACKS LEARN SOMETHING AND BE MORE PRODUCTIVE IN THERE LIFE BESIDES SELLING DRUGS AND SHOOTING AT EACHOTHER IT STARTS WITH US AS A BLACK RACE
