Allan Holdsworth is a true improvisor. He can play his instrument.
How do you know the sounds they are making are exactly what they want to be making. You have some special insight into the technical command and desires of these musicians. I for one find this much more interesting than most things i've heard Allan Holdsworth do, to the point that i wonder if he knows what the sounds he makes actually sound like in the context in which he makes them. (just a thought).....
