i dont remember the time of felix jones but by the looks of these highlights he looked incredible, but at one point in the video kentucky, who is horrible now, is 21 and arkansas with felix jones at tail back isnt ranked how is that possible
goddamn these guys were so fun to watch. ive never really gotten into college football but back in 7th grade id tune in every saturday just to see if i could find an Arkansas game
these guys plus peyton hillis are my heroes! If your a true fan of all these guys like me you will draft them back to back to back in your fantasy league because they are going to go OFF together in the NFL together! WOO PIG SOOIE! Razorbacks all the way.
Dallas Cowboyz runnin game would be too dangerous if we would've got DMac ,, Jus think about it,, Felix Jones Nd DMac, DeMarco Murray, Tashard Choice, Nd Marion Barber.
Steve Spurrier ought to have his ass beaten for leaving Darren off his Heisman ballot...over 3 years McFadden had nearly 1000 yards of rushing against S.Carolina alone, how in the hell do you leave him off your ballot if thats the case. Ole ball coach is a vindictive prick and cost Darren the heisman that year.
@bigmoney4635 no. Darren McFadden is the best running back in the league, when healthy. No one has the size, blazing speed, hands and power that he has. Period.
@cklng223 mcfadden, jones and hillis are all great but neither of them can stay healthy long enough to do any damage in the nfl. i agree though mcfadden probabl has the best combination of speed and power and recieving skills of any back. if he can ever make it thru a 16 game schedule he will definitely be an mvp
If they had a good defense, as coach I would run the ball 85% of the time and air it out the other 15% just to keep the opposing team honest ...IMO with that combination you're in the running for the national championship without a doubt!
@Matteger23 I always had the impression that McFadden was a little bit faster, and seemed to run a little bit harder, especially at contact, but that Felix the Cat had better moves and much better vision. Of course, you can't make that claim after this past NFL season. I'm willing to blame it all on the Plowboys' fat-assed O-line, though. C'mon Jerry, ya spend 1.2 Billyun Dollars on a spaceship, spend a few Millyun on some linemen that don't have Oliver Miller Syndrome.
God almighty...imagine jones or mcfadden on the 2010 team with Mallett....National champs without a doubt. Knile Davis is stepping up though and he's looking like a mini-McFadden
@neon3188 yea that team would be sick but then again you could say that for any university, imagine willis mcgahee, clinton portis, frank gore all on the same team at miami....oh wait i think they were on the same team lol
Please they didn't play anybody. SEC is always top dog and everybody knows it, just not everyone admits it. Everyone was on Ohio States nuts about them being unbeatable, but what happened in the national championship when they faced Florida an LSU? Oh yeah, they got MURDERED!!
@tpc501 yea but james davis wasnt that exciting for more than a year, and both of these guys get significant playing time in the nfl, i think spiller will be good but you gotta remember that in college mcfadden/jones played against florida, alabama, lsu etc.....davis and spiller were in the acc
arkansas was the real factor in the reemergence of the wildcat. their qb at the time wasnt good so they were like, fucc it let mcfadden run shit. That was an exciting team
for all u haters, when ur in oakland that has (or now i should say had) a total of 3 running backs, its hard to be "the man" so since fargas is gone, will see how he does now that he should carry most of the load, sharing with michael bush
being "the man" is not that hard in oakland, i understand what you're saying about having 3 running backs, that applies for a place like dallas or baltimore, each team has 3 guys that can run the ball, but i was hating on darren mcfadden because he cant hold onto the ball, and his poor production had nothing to do with sharing carries, he just sucks (right now)....thats why theres a stat called "yards per carry" and is specifically designed to show how good you are regardless of playing time
@pleaserameez the yards per carry doesn't show how bad the oakland o-line is, and please no one say they are good they give up a bunch of sacks and they can't open holes, btw i watched every oakland game. if given holes mcfadden would be a home runn threat but that ain't gonna happen with a shitty o line don't blame mcfadden.
@ohshit13131 yea but do u really think that every good running back has an awesome o-line? the panthers dont have a good o-line, but somehow deangelo williams and jonathan stewart have had alot of success...mcfadden is a straightline runner with little agility, i didnt really notice it at first until mel kiper said it and its true, he cant hold onto the ball, hes not much of a reciever, not much of a blocker...and trust me, EVERY running back would be a homerun threat with a good o-line
also, look at felix jones, he's getting the load of the carries in dallas over marion barber and tashard choice, those two backs are much better than the two who were taking carries away from mcfadden. fargas is gone now so he has one shot to prove hes not a bust, barring injury, we'll find out how good he really is this year
yea i agree, he cant hold on to the football, but then again everyone that oakland drafts is a bust...robert gallery, jamarcus russell, mcfadden and heyward-bey are all busts
last year he played in 12 games, he had 357 yards, one touchdown, and 5 fumbles total, the year before he had 3 fumbles....so in 2 years he has a combined total of 8 fumbles, 856 yards, and 5 touchdowns....how is he not a a bust?
yea but same goes for jamarcus russell, he will suck again and everyone will label him a bust, but his horrible offensive line wont be the cause of him being a bust. Also fumbles have nothing to do with the rest of his team. Justin fargas has the same o-line. He has held onto the ball. The worst way to lose is to beat yourself. By turnovers.
haha ive liked Arkansas ever since i was in 8th grade...Jones & McFadden really gave them a name. They are doing good for this year because of Mallet. McFadden should have won hiesman...i hate Teebow...
yup yup...that was a dangerous trio in the backfield....it kinda reminds me of the miam hurricanes from back in the day..i think in 2001 they had clinton portis, willis mcgahee and frank gore on the same team...kellen winslow was BACKUP...sean taylor was BACKUP...that team was loaded
Naw....Matt Ryan was to much of a media darling unfortunately. And had Mcfadden not gotten hurt twice....ooooo look out! It's no telling how good that man is gonna be!
