The black horse in the film is a mare that was terribly abused. She was cared for by Alex, a dedicated and devoted person for horses. In the film she is being walked by him, as a form of physio therepy to keep her joints moving and to stop arthritis setting in. Her leg had been badly damaged but she is getting on very well with his love and attention. I don't know if you meant that horse. He tends to all the horses.
Thank you so much for letting me know. I'm only a human and I only know a few words in your ancient language, so please be patient with me. My whole adult life has been to help animals throughout the world and I don't speak their language either - but care and love needs no words.
Just wanted to comment on the video, great job.... Also would like to say i have worked for Paphiakos a while now and we couldnt do what we do without the generosity of the public and organisations who support us.. so thankyou.
Thank you Dominique. We are just a small grain of sand in a huge desert - but every effort is worth it for giving a better life to some, if only a few animals, who live in misery at the hands of some humans.
At least you tried. Many people don't even admit to its existence, and most don't even care. But there are a few wonderful people out there that do, and they make a huge difference to the lives of some animals.
Dear Guccik, at the end of the film, there is a telephone number, website and email address. Please contact them if you can offer any help on a voluntary basis, they would love to hear from you.
No, dear dervit. There are wonderful Cypriot people who are helping the animals in a way that English and others cannot. Believe me, in every country, including England, there is much to be done. Never be ashamed, instead, do what you can. I feel that way sometimes about what's happening to animals in England right now, but at least we do have recourse in the courts. It will come here too.
very moving video... i hope people will wake up soon and understand that human life is not more valuable than the animals... we came to the world to live together, not to eliminate the things we found before us... thnx for this video

Have recently returned from Paphos and found this Shelter. Could not believe that there could be so many animals , yet no nasty smell !
Great to see the animals looking so content and well looked after. Thank Goodness for such caring people.
I will certainly tell everyone about this place.
Have posted a video of what I saw there a few weeks ago . Hope you find lots more help :)
