  • @KlotzProductions i think the reason why is he thought he could kill him with the 2 lightning blots. Even if he had targeted the pestermite, he would of redirected the lightning blot to the spellskite and if he used another lightning blot, he would of redirected it to the spellskite again, becauase the spellskite has 4 toughtness, meaning it could take 2 lightning blots. btw, great vids kevin

  • who here would like to win some free mtg sleeves?

    /watch?v=Fwime-1YTHo

  • Here's how it shakes out:

With only two bolts, there is no play Josh can make to win.

With three bolts, he targets pestermite with two of them, gets them both redirected to spellskite (Estratti goes to 4), lets the two bolts resolve and kill spellskite, then uses his last bolt to kill the pestermite and survive

With four bolts, Josh sends all 4 to the face and wins.

  • $40,000.00 for first!... must've been nice.

  • @ 2:45 ... the united steaks! ... :D im HUNGRY!!

  • Why didn't he target the pestermite?

  • @KlotzProductions That's what I was thinking too. 2 bolts would have been enough to kill pester.

  • @LuciousGaming Oh... well I suppose he could have just redirected both bolts to spellskite anyway and still had enough to survive... so I guess there was no winning either way... that spellkite is pretty epic in splinter twin I'd say.

  • @KlotzProductions Do you know how spellskite works?

  • @SwaggerPvP Yeah, I realized that later and posted a response to someones response to my question.

  • @KlotzProductions he bolted estratti because the spellskite would have save the pestermite anyway and if estratti didnt see it then he would be dead instead of just killing the pestermite

  • @LastT0mat0 : but he only had 1 mana available. he could've redirected the first but not the second. i understand the play, but it was incorrect.

  • @MSNking14 It's a phyrexian blue, you can either pay a blue mana or pay 2 life.

  • @KlotzProductions : yeah... no clue

  • @KlotzProductions Because spellskite is a 0/4 and could redirect the 2 bolts regardless.

  • @KlotzProductions Spellskite's redirect ability

  • @KlotzProductions Because he would just redirect it to spellskite.

  • FORZA ITALIA!!

  • There not playing standard are they?

  • @sin545 there playing modern

  • @invertedGuy what cards are legal in modern?

  • @sin545

    cards with non-classic borders

  • Wow! The format is screwed by splinter twin deck. twin excharch is the new caw-blade I wonder how much time is going to pass until wizards realized and do something about it

  • Well, at least a creature deck made it the finals, even if it had to fight through combo hell to get there. What a failure this format is so far.

  • good job Johnny Knoxville!

  • 4:46

    god bless the UNITED STAKES

  • first!!!!!!

oh wait there are already a million comments!

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @rftblah: my bad, for some reason I thought he was trying to resolv the spellskite, not the twin.

  • twist fingers on island, point at spellskite, game set match

  • So... if Josh sent both bolts to the head, he'd have won.

But, he played around a counter, which would have made him lose anyway?

  • @waltpark He'd be able to redirect both bolts to the spellskite if he wanted to. (and he would have had to if josh aimed them both at pestermite).

  • @waltpark No, if he sent both at him, one would be redirected to the artifact, same result.

  • @waltpark no because he had spellskite.

  • first like (i'd like before i saw the just for beeing the first

  • how much money did he win ?

  • @RobinFBS 40 grand

  • Second

  • first
