Asari are asexual. They don't have sex to reproduce (though it's implied they can do so for pleasure). To reproduce, they read the DNA code of another being (including females and other Asari) and use that sequence to randomize the traits of the new offspring they produce, but the offspring is always another Asari. You see different skin patterns and personalities from the trait randomizing, but the offspring are genetically full Asari, not half-breeds.

They use the other parents as random number generators, so to speak, to randomize the genetic code rather than producing an exact copy. But the bitter rep indicates they could achieve the same randomization simply by applying radiation. This plus their control of when they reproduce could indicate that without the randomization they could produce a genetic copy. Which would presumably be social anathema.

@Graymoths Pansexual would be about their proclivities, rather than means of reproduction. :) Really, I'm not sure there is a proper term for it, as no real species reproduces that way. The chief point is that they can have intercourse for pleasure, but intercourse has nothing to do with breeding for them. They generate the child completely themselves, rather than a joining of sperm and egg as in normal sexual reproduction. The other parent's code is apparently read through a mind-meld.

I would still consider their sexuality to be pansexual, since they can mate with any species without any conflict, and also because this term does not restrict to how a pansexual organism reproduces. If you feel imaginative enough, why not create a new term for thisr it?

There are no male asari, the species only has one "gender".

Aside from that, females of all other species you mentioned exist, they're just not shown. [There's also evidence for female salarians and female krogan in ME2 dialogue, just gotta keep an eye open.]

The funny bit is I actually bought her whole gag on how "resilient" and "powerful" I was. I bought her "you survived the Prothean Cypher" line all the way... and I died. Maybe the funniest gaming death I've experienced since the first time I saw an Animality. The rub was that I hadn't saved since the middle portion of the collector base. Serves me right.

@LanceTheBlue your Paragon or renegade has to be high enough to resist morinth's mind control. if it is, then you'll be able to choose who you wanna help after morinth pleads for you to help her.

You get a huge chunk of paragon or renegade points depending on your choice.

another little note is that even though its not really useful by that point in the game, you can get maxed out paragon by asking if samara's okay and then saying you wanna look around repeatdetly after she kills morinth

@Dustehue928 oh, i hope im not too late to add this in, but there is a neat benefit of choosing morinth.

her loyalty power is "dominate" which is basically like AI hacking, except it works on organic enemies (which are much more prevalent, especially in the case of collectors)

And since you can learn any loyalty power your teammates have, its neat to add this to your repetoire.

If you don't wanna stick with morinth though, just do the mission, save morinth, and save a new file, then do it over
