@HARDINDR take a good look at america today and with a straight face tell me it was not conspired.... tell me that CAIN didnt conspire to kill ABEL..... TELL ME THAT PRES. J.F.K. WAS MURDERED BY A MAJIC BULLET....OR WOULD YOU BE A LIAR? HITLER SAID THE BIGGER THE LIE....THE MORE PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE......LIARS AND LOVERS OF LIES WILL BURN FOREVER IN HELL UNLESS THEY REPENT.....
He looks just like South Africa's apartheid leader P.W. Botha, even down to the same glasses. You know they would get on just great.
There is nothing "special" about the USA. That is hocus pocus that is fed to the gullible. Its just another place where the white man poisoned the natives and stole their land. Its a common occurance and does not mean God loves this place any more than another place.
W. Cleon Skousen is a notorious conspiracist crank who wrote the books The Naked Communist and The Naked Capitalist, that claimed that secret insiders like David Rockefeller both controlled the USSR and the US. He also ran an illegal intelligence gathering operation out of his "Freeman Institute," that later put out a high school textboook that called black people "pickanninies" and said white people in the south lived in fear of slaves. What a loon!
Well, I am an atheist and a social democrat, but I'm not a marxist, communist or anarchist. Hopefully, one day we will be done with capitalism, but that is a whole another kettle of fish. I'm actually readying both The Naked Capitalist and The Naked Communist (of course, Skousen wrote many more books). Unfortunately, they are as cranky as I was lead to believe. You didn't say what was wrong with what I wrote about Skousen. Care to try again?
HAHA! You don't know anything do you. The text book you are reffering is the Making of America and he wasn't calling them "pickaninies" he was simply stating that that's what the white people called the little black children in the time of slavery. Read the book before you make such statements. And Believe me, the Freeman Institute was not an illegal intelligence group. That makes me laugh that you think so. Where did you get the idea that it was?
You don't know nothin' 'bout nothin'. Read the books yourself. Since when does writing about history make you a loon? I suppose if you don't know what the history is then maybe to you it might seem weird. Idiot.
Thank you for the courtesy of your reply. Skousen was a conspiracy theorist, someone who believed that secret elites conspired to destroy America. This view is rejected by nearly all real historians and social scientists. Skousen's work is thus ignored by them.
I have read Skousen's major works on communism and capitalism, The Naked Capitalist and the Naked Communist, and they are poorly researched and full of logical holes.
I would post to pieces critical of Skousen, but youtube doesn't allow that. If you are interested, google Zaitchik and Skouse, with Salon or SPLC , or Wilentz and New Yorker and Skousen. They will give you of how far out Skousen's ideas are.
I read plenty of non-fiction and history. I try to understand things from different perspectives. Skousen's views on slavery were rankly offensive. The essay he quoted is disgusting.
I like Ron Paul, however he is not my choice to lead the fight against terrorism BUT,
Dr. Skousen was my Book of Mormon and Old Testament Instructor at BYU. He was the most interesting and inspiring person I have ever known.
His books are fantastic reads and he was an American patriot without peer. His teaching techniques pulled you back into history, you felt you were right there feeling and seeing great events in ancient times.
You just might realize 911 and the war on terror is a big farce!
Oh, but that would mean the republicans have been infiltrated! Yes, and Cleon taught that.
Sounds like you are leaning towards Mitt. He's fighting for the Latter Day Gadiantons vote with the pretense to do good afterwards. My principled vote will never be wasted on such a mentality.
Founding fathers such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and John Hancock are now all members of Christ's true church having done so in the spirit world through the merits of the illustrious Wilford Woodruff. I know this to be true as the Spirit has borne witness to me on this matter.
I want to read everything he has ever written, and hear every talk that is recorded of him. I am a member from New Zealand I have read "The First 2000 Years" and I am hooked.
I am so greatful to brother Skousen. He will continue to be an inspiration to me and my posterity through out all eternity. I would have said rest in peace, but no doubt he is carrying his massage to the spirits beyond the veil.
The Skousen family are all very strong Ron Paul supporters. Remember that if you're going to the polls and voting for Romney, who Joel Skousen described as an unwitting totalitarian who's views trample all over the Constitution.
It was my pleasure on a few occasions to meet Dr. Skousen. He was such a great statesman, and great Christian! The world is a better place because of him!

So what's your agenda?? Atheism? Anarchy?
Supporter of Marxism, and Communism? Hater of Capitalism?
Folks would be wise to read both of Mr. Skousen's books... The Naked Communist and The Naked Capitalist.
If that's all you can come up with in your out of context attempt at smearing Skousen, then keep your disingenuous comments to yourself.
You cowardly hide your true agenda.
