I think that people got carried away!This is no worse than things like phone jacker or one of the millions of phone pranks on this website. I mean andrew sachs was understandably upset but he forgave them right away when they apologised....Russel should not have had to leave his job over this! It's ridiculous really. Despite what little I know of the situation, it sounded like Sachs may have been a little upset, but knew it was meant to be jocular. It sounds like the media and the prime minister (of all people) were the ones that got all huffy. While this kind of prank might have been in bad taste and even rather juvenile for Brand, it's in his character to be vulgar and childish, but funny regardless.
