  • This song sounded absolutely amazing on my 12 transistor radio on Erie PA Fm Radio Station in the summer of '69. The sound travelled across Lake Erie to my hometown in Ontario, Canada and the signal was so clear. Thanks for the song!

  • @accordionreid -you are very welcome Mel! Ron

  • @accordionreid this wasnt a hit when first released but when it was used in a commercial for the national conferance of christians and jews it was the secound pressing didnt have pictures of the group on the cover

  • @spacepatrolman What year was it first released? I regularly heard this song in the summer of '69. I remember Radio Station in Erie, PA FM were better than most stations I know because they would play songs previous to when they became hit songs on Radio AM stations. An example of this was James Taylor FIre and Rain and Simon and Garfunkel El Candor Pasa. This Radio Station was ahead of their time for playing songs before they became hits.

  • @accordionreid i think it was released before 69 when you heard it was happening as a hit my grandfather used to sort coal in a freight yard in pennsylvania

  • This had different tempo & arrangement to the Kingston Trio's. quite like this one myself...

  • @shatinterry- thanks Terry! Ron
