  • 1934 is lost on a LOT of people today. Their slang, loose morals could fit the teens of today, with a few costume changes! The color here is amazing! And I thought that Robin Hood with Errol Flynn in 1937 started the Technicolor phase!

  • Great stuff.

  • The also used only one exclamation mark, often none, vs !!!!!!!

  • They didn't say watcha gonna do in 1934, the say what are you going to do. They also said do you want to vs wanna.

  • Oh okay because girls are disposable objects, and it doesn't matter which one you "have" because you have a spare.

  • The girl in the pink dress at 1:10 looks a lot like Dorothy Lamour. Wonder if it's her.

  • Sounds like a total copy of that Pettin' in the Park, Bad Boy...Bad Girl song from the movie Dames?

  • I bet if you look at the tags on all those clothes and cars you wouldn't see a single "Made in China" The USA at it's best even during a depression.

  • So - that's where Pee Wee Herman got his outfit from!

  • the motorcycle cop is hot !!!!

  • I wonder if these two crazy kids are still walking this earth??? They could be in a convalescent home singing the same song.

  • BORN TOO LATE THANKS

  • Another good reason to bring back the rumble seat;-)

  • The guy in the car looks like Zeppo Marx in a creepy kinda way - he also has a girl held hostage in the trunk! ("I always keep a spare here!") What's up with Walter Webb's Gassery, eh?

  • Basic synopsis of the film is: Walter Webb's gas station burns down, so his insurance comes in. He describes his service station (or what he would've wanted it to be), hoping the insurance company is dumb enough to believe him and deliver.

  • LOL Nowadays if cops did that it would be the end of their career!! Very cute.

  • Matter fact, even those Golden years, Cops couldn't do such a thing, that was only some kind of funny entertainment.

  • In the Middle Age, they often say : "It's good to be King!", but in "Service with a Smile" (1934) : "It's good to be COP!"

  • "...Is he jealous? Awfully jealous! The Car now runs OK..."

Great! And the cars look good, too.

  • Great no more as the Cops caught them!

  • Why not a married man??!

  • Or the woman was a bit pushy.

  • This is so cute! I love it! :-)

  • Ahhh, I love this song!! :)

  • Wow- what great looking performers in a wonderful color clip!

  • SO GOOD!!Lovely song, colour and studio orchestra and the 1934 clothes and cars the best!!

  • I concur!

  • I think the dark haired singer in the car with a red shirt and white hat is Maxine Doyle

  • In addition, you find her playing the part of Guinevere in "Good Morning Eve" singing "They Got There Just the Same"
