@Crecendos Uhm I heard Suikoden Sierkreis or something like that was one of the best DS releases, but I´m not sure, I just started the game. I was referring to Tales games, like Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Vesperia, of Innocence, etc. Those are, at least to me, the best RPGs out there, with Shin Megami Tensei up close. And then again, I don´t know shit bout Xeno, I only played Xenogears a lil bit, so I couldn´t say more about it

@EXHellfire I do like Tales series, there are like so much fun, I played Symphonia. I think that Suikoden is Namcos best rpgs just an opinion. Xenosaga is more like you really need to get into the story, so long dialogue so long story but it is interesting that they made it into a trilogy, kinda like a movie. But still to moi Shin Megami Tensei are all in pedestal because Strange Journey, the destruction does not take place in Japan any more but the whole world.

I´ll hint some things though: In this one, you don´t fight a timer, but rather fight to prevent shit from happening, to save yourself. In this one, your personality affects the game as it lets you choose what to say always. In this game, the characters are intelligent. In this game, you fight demons instead of noise, and they have a whole story background.

Hm. After seeing all these shin megami reviews I have to say. they have a very similar monster mechanic to say digimon or dragon quest monsters although there's are creepier obviously and the stories are serious instead of light hearted or camp.

this game is going to be remade for the 3DS system in June of 2011. If you want to hear about some of the new installations they put in just ask or go to GameStop.com and check out the games for the Nintendo 3DS. The new version will beat the old one by 10 miles.

@theXpert13 Well, this one is more like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

STRANGE JOURNEY is more old school adventure, when u don't see your main character or monsters on screen, but there is a bar up top that turns red and a little bit after, they show up. This one has about 120+ monsters, while SJ has close to 300, and it is harder than this one.

P.S. it depends what's your style, so I suggest looking up some Let's Plays of each, to get an idea of how it looks, and decide what game you like.

its a great game with an excellent story, good replay value with multiple endings, addictive music, lots of customization with characters attacks but i felt they really didnt need a strategy grid to move around since they're isnt any depth of strategy out side battling, no panels for buffs or debuffs etc

game play you use both ds screens to control each battle character at the same time,bottom touch screen for main guy, top screen/buttons for other people, at first it seems bloody hard 10 min later it not so hard. music very entertaining. could just watch the trailer

The game's pretty good, despite being a shameless Digimon knockoff.

There was also an anime based on it, but I haven't been able to find it fansubbed.

I've been hearing good things about this game, but from what I see in this video, I won't like it because I HATE the battle system it uses. I'm sorry, but the only games I like with this battle system are Fire Emblem games and FFXII Revenant wings. I don't know why. I'm just not fond of strategical stuff.

If you have to grind a lot then you are doing something wrong. Fuse your demons every time your Main Character gains around 7-8 levels, and the game will be a lot easier.

In the COMP menu you can use the stylus, it's nice that Atlus added that so we scroll down the fusion monster list for demons requirements, wish they implemented it outside the COMP menu.
