Why is it that everyone wants Clark to start flying when, in fact, Superman himself (cape and all) started out just jumping?  I can think of some awesome Superman action sequences available if you only give him Golden Age powers (which, frankly, are so far from Modern Age Superman's abilities that they may as well be considered different characters.)

This was flying, as stated in wiki, a superleap is alot of impact needed to push off the ground, there was NO impact, he straight up jumped and flew.

@goku4365 He jumped, that was Clark Kent's dark side/ Kal brought about by Red Kryptonite... In Season 4, Episode 1, Crusade, His Kal-El personality was brought on by him being controlled by his biological father Jor-El, because of this, he had the ability to fly for that ONE episode....

If you think his had the ability to fly since Crusade, i strongly suggest you rewatch the last 5 seasons.....

it was a super jump the effect of the red kryptonite simply made him more confident and carefree with his current abilities it was still clark not kal-el the only time "kal-el" appears is in crusade
