i love playing marching snare but when it comes to solos like this for entertainment, theyre almost a little dull, at least to a fellow drummer i think. its just normal snare technique with a lot of stick tricks added that usually fail to impress me. but still great playing

One thing that seems to be a constant every year I watch posted of the solo competitions: the acoustics inside the hall overpower the performance so much so that the recording is distorted (particularly with the snare drummers). That's annoying. Look like something should be done so that this performaces can be duplicated in a sound-stable environment later for recordings. The echo is just too much to hear the articulation.

I still play drumset...ALOT. I am focusing on becoming a police officer and I work 45 hours a week. If anyone is wondering Snareman96 is a friend of mine. I do spend a lot of time on sportbikes and hope to get a racing license, BUT my primary focus is becoming a police officer and playing drumset

This is the only soloist so far on you tube that didn't tick or nearly knock the drum over when back sticking. It was clean as a whistle and to just listen you wouldn't even know he was back sticking. Fantastic job.
