I've had problems with my Sirius satellite radio before in the past, it kept shuting off and on when the boombox unit was on. I've called them before since, it was in a friend of ours account, spoke with the customer service and they wanted to charge me $40.00 for the unit.

I've also sent an e-mail to our friends because, I was on their account and they've found me a satellite radio, and they shipped it off by mail 2 years ago. This Christmas, my Mom will get it set up again! LMYSR!!!!

If someone tries to activate that radio under the SAME account you have to pass 2 security questions; otherwise anyone can activate a radio on a different account as long as they provide with a credit or debit card...

Sometimes Retention Dept. can offer you a replacement for your stolen radio but usually that only applies if you just say you don't have the radio anymore WITHOUT saying it was stolen...really awful policy...

I used to work as a custumer care rep for Sirius US a couple months ago (I know...not the best job on earth). When you report a stolen radio all we (Cust care reps) are allowed to do is close the radio and note the account specifying that the radio was stolen.

i love that people think these guys (sirius)care i canceled my radio and tried to reactivate it 2 hours later the lady on the phone just about laughed at me and tried to get me off the phone because i didnt have a credit or debit they dont care there going to go bankrupt change the rules so people who make mistakes buy canceling can reactivate right then and there on the phone with out makeing a payment instead of have customers call up to beg to be reactivated with out makeing 30$ payment

Hahaha. This is funny. I worked on sirius US last year and it was hell! Now i'm on sirius canada and it is sssoo much better! US and canada are different companies. If your radio is stolen and you have a canadian account, we will deactivate the stolen radio and put it on a stolen reciever account so that the person that stole it will not be able to activate it!

Obviously people who leave their doors unlocked are begging to have their stuff stolen. However the Sirius radio gets into the hands of the person who doesn't own it, Sirius shouldn't be doing business like this. Its kind of disappointing! I stopped my subscription to Sirius because I don't have a clean view N/E (I live in Arizona), and the terrestrial signal jumps in and out. Sirius is way better than XM though.

I work for Sirius, I'm a Customer Support Rep.

If the radio is stolen, and the person who stole the radio calls up, and they want to get it re-activated they give the ESN or SID number to the radio, if they cannot verify 3 things on the account, we can't help them.

So don't fear Sirius, we do care, if your radio is stolen, we'll give yea a new one for free, and thats the truth. I do it all the time

that is BS, I have had mine stolen twice from my car, broken windows both times and nothing else stolen. All sirius would do is suspend my account untill I got a new radio pick up where I left off, no new radio was offered. After hearing this, I'm not going to renew my account because sirius dosn't care that it breaks the number one rule in customer service. Take care of your customers. Now I don't care that the FCC is being a bunch of nazis toward them because it is called karma man.

O FUCK OFF i werk at a call center on the sirius contact the only way we kno if there stolen is if they call in and we mark that ESN or SID # stoler and when we put it in our system it comes up as stolen and we cant activate it thats a load of bull

Sirius provides service to whoever has the radio, their policy is understandable, all they can do is suspend the service to that unit so the original owner is no longer charged for service of a radio he no longer has. If the owner gets a new unit though he is able to transfer the sub to the new radio at no cost
