Three way swivel, 12-18" leader to both sinker and circle hook. Rig with 2-3 ounce sinker. Find the greasiest, most fattening, moist bread sticks smothered in garlic that you can find. Break into pieces the size of 50cent pieces up to snuff can size. Put in baggie and add vanilla and terriyaki sauce to coat every piece. Use this bait for channel cats. It works......Guaranteed. I've caught more channel cats on this than everything else combined. The bigger pieces do catch bigger fish.

I find using shad and sucker fish whole, live or dead work just fine for catfishin.I use a slip rig witch is just a egg sinker swivel and hook"about 1-2 feet below the swivel" .Seems to work for me.But i do use cut baits of bigger fish like drum.caught a 38lbs flathead a few weeks ago on a drum head.I rarely catch anything under 10lbs but i just go cattin for the joy of it.And i allways practice catch and release.
