If you use a bigger paper for your shirt, then it should match perfectly with the tie. Maybe do the tie with 3/5 of the size of the shirt? ♪( ´▽｀)ノ

What kind of paper are you using? Maybe you can try a

longer paper, like a legal size paper.

I just use a plain printer paper that's a letter size.
