Yes, Mr, Marcus would have been in chains in 1776 because of his color. But, those people in 1776 created the USA which created the circumstance of those chains falling. For some founders, this was intentional!

Historically...when the real Tea Party Act went down in 1773, it was not about helping all the people. It was about taking colonial influence of elected officials out of the picture and indeed some taxation with out being represented. Also colonial merchants that were smugglers, played a significant role in the protests, While these criminals worked with the legitimate folks...there was no place for negroes or native Americans in these issues. I can't help thinking this is a a republican vs democrat thing, than it is an actual, "I care about spending," thing. I don't think these people cared when it was Bush who was doing the spending, but now that a democrat is doing it, all of a sudden they care. Obama's stimulus plan was promised not to have any pork in it yet practicaly the whole thing was a pork spending bill! 60% of the pork was written by the Dems, but 40% was written by the Reps. So while you want to ignor what is happening, I'm telling you, we people are just plain mad at them all!
