Oprah knew better as well, mentioning that she got a "perm" on the show ( reminds me of the beef incident) when premiering Chris's movie. As if wearing her own hair is better than not putting a "weave" in. It's still chemically treated. I would think a wig/weave would be safer than chemicals.

Robin raised a good question. I honestly believe Chris didn't focus in on "being natural", b/c it influences Black women to at least think about abandoning relaxers all together (if they haven't already) & that's a "money" issue, as well as a "Black pride" issue. He can only go so far. BUT I'm sure Chris knew we'd figure it out & would read in between the lines...I'd hope.

that's a good point. and you could tell by th reaction on chris's face that it was a good question. i find that sistas who embrace their natural beauty (hair, culture etc) or more in tune with themselves. for the most part.
