This series is not accurate. Like when his 1st wife dies, Henry didn't cry. He couldn't wait to get rid of her. It is documented that both he and Anne wore yellow the day of her death, which was quite a spit in the face
Henry the VIII developed diabetes, gout, and maybe even cancer. He died not just of old age, but of extreme obesity, and being very unhealthy. He knew that all he wanted all of his life, was a male heir, and he eventually got it. Jane Seymour had the good luck to bear him a son, and then the good sense before he tire of her, like with everyone else.
I like to think if he was a good man, he would have stayed with Katherine. She was true to him, and there was a time when Henry loved her - I think. Henry was a brat. Of course, back then, saying this could have gotten me killed; still, I think it's a truth that must be made clear. He was - in some very strong ways - an evil man, same with Anne an evil woman. Especially with what they did to Mary, though it was mainly Henry's doing. But yeah, Katherine I see as the innocent of the six.
@NebetSeta Henry was in a quagmire. The Tudor dynasty was no more than a few decades old. With the death of each son by Katherine and her nearing the age where she would no longer be able to bear children, Henry was faced with a decision. He had to ensure (at least attempt) the longevity of his dynasty. He needed a son. A queen's main function was that of a brood mare. Katherine could not give him what he needed to sustain the dynasty ergo Katherine prove to be expendable.
@Aragornsfavorite While I understand what you are saying as well as know there is truth in your words, how he went about his pursuits were just plain wrong. He was abusive to Mary and abusive to Katherine, and there is no excuse that is good enough to pardon those crimes.
@NebetSeta If you use today's standards there is no excuse. However, in that era a woman was a chattel to be used as her husband/father saw fit. Part of the abuse both these women endured were through their own doing. That is not an excuse it is simply stating facts. Had Katherine ceased to stop viewing Henry through her veiled rose-colored glasses she may have chosen to deal with him differently. Had she done that, perhaps her daughter would have followed suit. The world will never know.
@Aragornsfavorite Hmmmmmm.... I still question it, though I don't know much of anything about that time in history and what could or couldn't be done (so much as a being a woman or a girl and what power she would have had, royalty or not.) Still, Henry was deplorable, as well was Anne. They knew they were wrong, in the end. I wonder what would have happened if Spain attacked England for Katherine and Mary's sake? Indeed Katherine had more blood ties to the throne of England then Henry did.
@NebetSeta Indeed. Anne was an instrument used by her family; however, she was an ambitious woman and a maverick. For that she'll always be revered. How she treated Princess Mary was unimaginable and she had to atone for that. I often think about the what ifs. I do know from history that Henry feared Katherine's power and allies. I wish she had used her influence to have Spain effect war on England. I totally agree with you re: Katherine's blood ties. Henry was lacking.
@Aragornsfavorite I don't know if it's true or not, but I do remember reading something that basically stated that Henry also feared Mary; so, while he was torn with fatherly love for her, as well as political fear of her (she was his greatest enemy.) As for Anne and other women being strong and 'ahead of their time', I will agree with that. It's sad that women weren't honored for their sacrifices, 'cause they were the ones who seemed to really sacrifice the most...
First off, it's his damn sperms that created his children. If his "male" sperms were as strong as his "female" sperms he would've had more sons. So it's not the ladies fault who keeps birthing female offsprings, it's Henry's fault.
it wasn't about getting a son in my opinion. When he heard that the love of his life "cheated" on him, he was humiliated, devastated, and broken hearted. The only way to keep her to himself and not let another man touch her, was to kill her. That;s what I think.
@annemolly57 I agree with you, he showed Anne favour well into 1536, if he hated her he wouldn't have changed so suddenly. He obviously believe the charges, and I think when he realised they were false, he killed Cromwell. Cromwell's death couldn't just be about the Anne of Cleeves marriage, as Henry had her pre-contract of marriage to another to use to annul his.
@mcr4lyf213 of course she died. the tudors arent fictional....it really happened. Anne died because Henry wanted to get rid of her. so he accused her of adultery to have her executed. he wanted a son. Anne gave him only a daughter, future queen Elizabeth I.
@italoluder oh yeah , i know , i was just wondering about the tv series though . i do know of the tudors , i take history at school :) just interested in the series.
I love THIS end. i love anne and the way natalie dormer act as her !

I can't remember the name of the first piece of music, but it's from the artist, X-ray dog, the second piece of music which starts at 0:55 is from the Tudor's Season 3 soundtrack and is called "A Harrowing Wilderness/Death Of Jane Seymour", and the final piece of music is called Gothic Power by X-ray dog. Hope this helps xx
you are totally romancing this. "Henry put her in the tower because he has fallen in love with jane, but what if he realized he still loved her?"
love was not a question of whether to kill her or not.
anne didnt give him a son, she even misscarried - henry thought it all was her fault since she had promised to give him his long awaited son. he knew it was not going to happen but he needed an heir, so he felt obligated to change wives.
@Spyderschwinky well, there were already lots of rumors about anne, people thought she was a witch because of henry's obsession with her. her misscarring sons must have sound like some kind of proof. also there were rumors about her having many lovers - all of this must have gotten to henry too, at some point. so maybe he started to believe in those rumors, too. but mainly all he ever wanted was a male heir, that is one of the great reasons he married her in the first place. so, all in all
@Spyderschwinky Actually, Anne's first pregnancy was very difficult, so much so they thought she may die. Henry was praying for miscarriage to save Anne.
It's a fictional piece of work. If you don't like that kind of think I suggest you avoid these kind of videos.
Yes Anne failed to give Henry the son he desired which is one of the reasons he killed her, I believe the love he had for her turned to hate with all the stress and because of the accident. He didn't have to kill her to "change wives" as you put it, he could have swallowed his pride and gotten a divorce.
@MsAbbie101 wow that's some way to discard construcive criticism, telling me not to watch it. I never tried to be rude. I love fiction, I'm a writer myself and I appreciate when people are telling me their honest opinion, and constructive criticism actually always helped me more than praise.
I do agree on what you state in your comment, though I never said he had to kill her to change wives if you read my comments carefully. My point was that Henry wouldn't have saved her out of love, nor would
@Spyderschwinky anne ever end up in such a deadly situation in the first place, if Henry WOULD have been able to save her out of love. A little flaw in your logic is what I pointed out, nothing more. So no need to get all offended.
@Spyderschwinky Agreed. Anne WAS innocent of crimes for which she was executed. Henry had fallen out of love with her. She seemed incapable of giving him a living son & had taken to arguing with & criticizing the King in public. The angrier he got, the more she tried to win him back by the wrong means, like flirting (albeit innocently) with other men, being impudent in replies to him, etc. Things that'd driven Henry wild with lust before their marriage but were inappropriate in a wife & Queen.
He really loved her I think. The moment when theyve met for the first time was so magical and henry was so overwhelmed by her. and theyve been fighting so long to get married!
henry was a bastard who now rots in hell! he sentenced her to death and he had many wives of young ages later on except for 2 he sentenced all of them to die! he had even married anne's cousin and hurt them all! he's now the devil's bitch!
Good video!! Oh the Ana's history is so sad.. she's my favourite queen. I will like that the video was the real history, at least Henry would feel sad, but not is the true, sad very sad :(

I really loved this clip. I have a story I'm working on. a bit different in away where Anne is reborn with all her memories along with Henry a few others remember the past life but not all do. its got some really cool twist and turns I'm still working on it but it might be a good story so I hope.
@MsAbbie101 Henry could've offered Anne life in exile or if she renounced her title as queen (which she probably wouldn't have done) he might have spared her, living away from court for life.
Yeahh I agree she would never have renounced her title of Queen, becuase if she did that then she would be declaring Elizabeth a basterd. And that that is somthing Anne would never do.
I hope so too, I hope everytime he saw Elizabeth he remembered Anne. She was his truly the love of his life, he broke with Rome and the whole time he was divorcing Katherine he didn't cheat on Anne.
@Babyhowdy233 In the different portraits there are many subtle and dramatic differences or painter's interpretations of the Queen. However, it can be said with almost certainty from the many portraits of Queen Elizabeth I, that her eyes were a deep amber brown - as this is a consistency across the board. It is well known that she had the eyes of her mother.
This is seriously the first time I have ever heard that Queen Elizabeth I had amber/brown eyes! In every document I read in the British Museum it said her colouring was exactly like that of her father. Also, this is the first I have heard that Anne's eye's weren't dark brown. If it's true that either had AMBER brown eyes then today that colour would be described as HAZEL, not brown. I will look more closely into these new facts. Thanks for the info.
@Babyhowdy233 It does depend on the artist. Elizabeth was very vain and wanted to be seen as a great beauty, which by Tudor standards was pale, fair and blue eyed. I imagine Anne's and Elizabeth's eyes were a darker hazel, but with the lack of artificial light and well lit rooms, they must of appeared black indoors. Elizabeth had her father’s auburn hair and hooked nose, her mother’s dark eyes and swarthy complexion, and elegant hands with long, slender fingers.
@kaitlinbelieve The first piece of music is X-ray Dog Gothic Power and I'm not really sure what the second one is I found it on youtube under violin music.

@HistoryLover1550 I've never read anywhere that Elizabeth reminded him of Anne.
Elizabeth was the spitting image of her father, and when I was taking tours in England's
historic sites all the tour guides-many of whom had degrees in English history-talked about
how Henry delighted in Elizabeth's red hair, pulling off her cap to stroke it and commenting
on how much she looked like him which she certainly did. I also think her personality was far
more like her mother's than her father's.
