  • I love this so much.

  • Cast behind is indeed emotionless! :/ And I spotted someone playing with their shirt and fidgeting.

It sounded just fine to me.

I'm glad you switched into head voice, Maggie. The first 'at the ballet' it already sounded painful to me. No sense in hurting yourself. :)

  • i want to do this show SO BAD! you guys are very lucky.

  • Wow...fantastic job ladies!

  • that was really good!!

  • man Sheila is absolutely gorgeous.

  • a nice voice...

the monologue before was pretty good :-)

    but then you started singing

tbh i didnt feel the difference between the verse and the chorus.

its like as soon as you started singing you werent playing the role emotionally enough

  • ai guys... you're very critical... maggie had nodules removed and performed as the director requested, and sheila was 14 for pete's sake. relax.

  • Shelia was 14?! Damn, I figured like 17. xD

  • I had nodules removed and my singing voice has never been the same. Even 3 years later.

    :-(

At least I'm 32, I feel sorry for her. She did her best!

    Brava!

  • @DarthVader1954 ...and that's EXACTLY why A Chorus Line is NOT a high school show. Quod erat demonstrandum.

  • OMG I love this show..

I played Maggie when we did it in a theater group!

  • It's basically my dream to play Maggie in A Chorus Line. Someday.

Great performance. I wish we could do this show- it's a bit too heavy.

  • beautiful voice but there was no character while singing.

  • you can do a chorus line for a school play? wow, i didn't know that. you guys are good, by the way.

  • maggie, have you ever had a vocal teacher?

  • That was actually one of the BEST high school performances I've ever seen. Three great voices, some pretty decent acting...I'm really, really impressed.

  • everyones telling these people how to sing their parts and how to act it like.. theyve probably decided on their characters thought process and how theyd like to play her. God! If you played it a different way, good for you! Theres no right or wrong way, some things work some dont.. i think the girl who played sheila could have maybe softened up a bit but thats her choice because if she chooses to show a tough exterior all the way through it still very much reflects sheila.

  • The redhead's great.

  • so should have belted note, the song is ruined without it

  • To all the belting-supporters:

Be careful with that advice especially when giving it to kids or teens. Belting is often underestimated as just "pushing".

  • A voice needs time to develop and to build up strenght. When you tell a young one to belt it's very likely that he or she doesnt have the strenght in his/her voice yet and that can be very dangerous, especially when you're young. So please, take it slow. I think it was a good idea NOT to belt out that hight note just for the sake of it. It's better to enjoy and improve your voice for the next 40years than destroying it for a schoolplay. ;)

  • Sorry, but Maggie can't sing her part. Without the belted high note the song dies horribly.

  • Cmon they are only kids. Better to be careful and not overstressed instead of ruining a voice with potential. ;)

  • To the girl who played Sheila - You don't need to be so sarcastic sounding when you're talking about your mother. Thinking back when she started dancing is a happy moment for Sheila.

  • The whole point is that sheila is monologuing and the director tells her to stop, and so she's sarcastic to frustrate him. Just wanted to clear that up.

  • I'm talking about after that, when she does stop "performing" for him. That shouldn't be as brash sounding as the rest of it is.

  • Comment removed

  • @DarthVader1954 i agree some what however she does stay in that same position almost the entire time. (once the singing starts). don't get me wrong there are millions of right ways to play a part and only one wrong way. i just wished she moved a little more while she sang... you know. add emotion. either way though real great singing voice and lots of potential and i'm hoping she's doing well as of now. stayed in musicals? :D

  • Why give them advice now..?

    They've done it..

  • This girl is hot!

  • kinda crappy

  • Loved it.

  • sheila, your song has some moments when you don't have to be a bitch, don't just be on one level the whole time. bebe, you have a great voice, just project. maggie, you should be able to hit that high note!! otherwise it was all really good

  • though the cast was a little emotionless, sheila was the best acting wise. She doesn't understand how to PLAY with humor though. Just because ur character's a "bitch" doesn't mean u should play it that way the whole time. You can find moments of joy. As for bebe .. if u could belt ud be set. and maggie... yeah its a MUST that u hit that high note at the end but u had a very pretty voice otherwise.

  • I agree with broadwaybabe...maggie should be able to belt that E flat and it just didn't happen...

  • this girl playing sheila has no emotion when she's singing the song...the ballet is/was supposed to mean everything to her and she's completely emotionless...ahhh

  • they sounded ok but it was boring

  • i hope the bebe can dance cause she cant sing lol jk everyone was good.. but bebe can use a little work

  • can u post this whole play?? this is gud lol

  • does anyone have the rest of this performance?

  • good~ i go to AMS but it was rely good

  • very good...except i think sheila came of a little to biatchy, bebe didn't have enough attitude and maggie didnt have a big enough belt to hit that E Flat

  • I agree. But pretty good for high school students!

  • The girl playing Sheila is amazing!! Kelly Bishop would be so proud!! She had the attitude and everything!

  • bebe here really bothers me...she's supposed to be this tough jewish chick from boston..what happened?

  • Oh, and the pit rocked, too. :]

  • The girl who played Sheila is phenominal. The other two were good, but couldn't sing quite loudly enough for the part. Alltogether a great performance.

  • Wow fantastic Singing. Lucky for some our skool cant do stuff like this coz its an all Boys school (wasnt my choice to go)

  • Sheila is fabulous! Kelly Bishop would be proud.

  • Oh my gosh!!

    She has a beautiful figure!

  • the first girl is supa-good. and the second girl is good but too quiet and doesn't seem to be into it. she doesn't have enough attitude!! and the third girl.. she can't belt well enough for this part, but she's good. <3

  • The first girl is really beautiful. great figure!!

    ~Sarah Michelle~

  • The only good part was Sheila
